Aussies! Weed at BDO 2011?

    How many of you have been to BDO? Did you bring weed? Can you?
    I'm going for the first time next year and think it'd be amazing to smoke a joint before JBT and Tool, but it's not worth getting a record and missing the whole day for.

    I've never been to the BDO but I can't imagine it would be hard to have a single joint; it'll take you all of 2 minutes to smoke.

    i went last year and smoked before because i had read about the sydney one having lots of dogs and searches, im in melb btw, so yeh didnt bring any with me, when i got there not one security just walked on through and as for smoking in there its easy as i saw many people doing it, just be in the crowds. i can really give you a straight answer because its so random whether they will have dogs or not, just have to risk taking some joints with you and if there are dogs you just have to smoke them before going threough the gates

    yeah I heard they got like 300 people in sydney last year. I was thinking joints would be easier than pipe because I can ditch the joints if need be. I just don't think it's worth missing the show and getting in trouble with the law for, if I got high beforehand it wouldn't last very long in the heat cause I'd sweat lots mixed with movement, and I don't wanna carry edibles around. I think I might take the risk, apparently my mum was offered a bowl by a stranger so I'm hoping it's not too hard.

    well yeh melbourne was easy as shit i was really dissapointed i didnt take any in with me i litterally gave them my ticket and walked through, i could of had a ounce on me and thye would be none the wiser

    Every BDO in Adelaide has dogs, haven't seen them at the gates before, just roaming around inside.

    If you have any mates that owe you a favour get them to come down to leader street and pass you a joint through the fence at a set time ;)

    This'll be my first BDO, so I think I'll just bring a joint or 2 and I can ditch them if I see a dog, and if not I can toke away. Or I may just skip the weed all together.

    The Dogs, Cops and undercovers are just after people trying to sell meth, pills, or stop fights the moment they start. If you can get passed security though its going to be like 1 dog for every 5,ooo people :D

    A total of 381 people were arrested, with police laying 104 drug possession charges, 12 drug supply charges, six assault charges and one malicious damage charge.

    Adelaide 2010
    Two people were reported for drug offences, 5 were evicted and 14 referred to counselling for possession of small amounts of drugs.

    If your caught with a joint you'll probably just get an expediation notice (fine), and a referal to a drug and alcohol counselor (who'll explain drugs are bad, you nod, and then leave) at one of those Youth outreach places that have social workers.

    You used to be able to leave then come back to the show grounds back in the day, but they dont let you come and go anymore, so no sessions in the car :(

    If your going to carry then just dont be stupid and carry tins and shit, just a rolled joint or two :smoke:

    Alright, thanks man, that made me feel better about it. I'd just have a joint or 2 in my pocket. IF I do get caught, will I still get to see the rest of the concert or will they kick me out?

    they'll kick you out and let your joints stay to watch the show, in the caring grasp of the security guard who kicked you out, blazing it:smoking:

    ive taken joints and pills to big day out every year for years now. im on the GoldCoast though and they dont bust many peple here.
