aussie grow, why arent they flowering?

  1. hi, so here is the deal, i have 2 plants that i sprouted october 1st, they grew slow till about late november, so around 6 weeks then they looked like they where going to die so i gave them some miracle grow (i pretty much had given up on these plants so this was just a try for the sake of trying) and they sprang back to good health and grew faster but now almost 4 months old and show no signs of flowering, i see a few stray hairs but nothing indicating whether they are female or male. i cant give them as much direct sunlight that they need due to neighbours and i think thats preventing them from moving onto the next stage but they are growing new leaves always.

i have a couple of pics i took about 2 weeks ago. comments welcome - and i realise i should of put this thread in the plants problem forum but ive just typed it all and added the pics so sorry, next time ill post in the right forum

im prepared to cut my losses if these are duds, i hope i can start some more.

  2. Not all plants flower early, some flower in OZ as early as Dec, some will flower as late as Mid Feb. By the looks of it your plants are going to really start to flower in the next 3-4 weeks.

Also depending on where you live, if the heat is still around and fairly even, the plants will take longer to get their flowering on. By the pics it looks like a Qld grow, so you are going to have to be patient. When I lived there my outdoor plants only started to flower in Mid Feb.

A good idea too would be to lift the plants up and get some more soil into the pots so the roots can get bigger a ball and as such provide a bigger plant. Plants look good otherwise and just be patient and you wil be rewarded!!!

  3. thanks for the reply, i feel a bit better knowing there is still a chance i havent fucked them up yet. and you are right, i live in qld. also im now pretty sure they are female plants so yay. :smoke: thanks again - anita

  4. Is there anything better than Qld girls? LOL :yay:

Would still recomment though lifting the plants up and putting in more potting mix as it looks like they may get starved for root development. I have very similar pots here and I fill them until the dirt is just below the lip and this gets me a decent rootball which in turn allows the plants to develop to their full potential.

Keep updating the pics and best of luck.

  5. im affraid of fucking them up by taking them out to add more soil, how would be the best way to do this??? without causing stress, the only thing i know is not to do it in the middle of the day (but what crazy fucker wants to be out in that sun at that time of day) so tips would be great:eek:

  6. do you have the light in 12/12?

  7. no, unfortunately i have very limited direct sunlight due to location and i know that is a big part of the plants not flowering as fast or at all but unfortunately there is nothing i can do about that and i have no room in my house for an indoor grow, guess i was doomed from the start

  8. How is the grow going Anita? You must well be into some early flowering?

  9. howd you know that it was an Qld grow?

  10. You can't mistake QLD girls!!
