This grow is really for seed because I'm worried if it is still viable. It has been under refrigeration for at least ten and probably more like 15 years. I decided to plant 6 expecting 2 to fail. If I can germinate 4, the probability of getting a m/f pair is: a) The only ways you don't get at least one of each, are with MMMM or FFFF. b) The total number of permutations is 4! or 24. c) So there is a 22/24 or 11/12 probability that I'll get seed. Good, I'll take those odds. I'm using No.6 pots because I am not after a huge yield--mind you I am hoping for something special.
April 29 and they're all up and running! Wooo-hoo, this seed is minimum 10 years in the refri and more likely 15.
So far so good, have six separate #6 pots. These are F1s I expect them to be much the same. When they get bigger I'll put three of them in 5 gallon pots for a better yield.
