Attic, 11L pot coco, multi strain; grapefriut, super lemon, amnesia, etc

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by Freshfed, May 8, 2011.

  1. Hi all, first proper thread here, coco grow (experienced in all others except dwc) so here's my general setup atm
Room Attic 1.2x2m floor space, 2x600w dual spectrum
in Cool tubes with insulated ducting. Rhino filter and primeair controller set at 27C, with intake and extraction from opposite eaves of the house roof. Fan for circulation.
Feed; Dutch master gold range (currently 3ml/l) plus weekly supplement of AN recovery for calcium, magnesium traces. (just started this to combat losing older lower leaves, 1week on and no more loss of leaf so far!). Hand water 2l every 2-3 days on a semi wet/dry cycle (I have tiny white media springtails so do this to control population numbers) so far all looks good! Ph is 5.7-5.8 self balanced by feed (always leave my water for 24hrs to dissipate unusable calmag etc in water).

Plants 11l pots. 4x grapefruit (female seeds) 1x bubble gummer [horizontal grow] (female seeds) 1x amnesia haze (royal queen seeds) 1x big Buddha cheese (Buddha seeds ;from clone)

6l pots. Super lemon haze (greenhouse seeds) Blue cheese Blueberry (Dutch passion ;clone)

2l pots ( peripheral extras) White rhino Purple no.1 All @ day 18 since light regime chnged to flower.
Copies of each plant have been taken and begging under a 250w in a meter square cupboard pictures avail when light comes on. PAny comments, suggestions or questions please feel free to ask and post! Peace

  2. Ok so here's a comprised list of what I got growing;

Seedling: all in peat rooting cubes transplanted into 3" roockwool blocks, currently air pruning the roots in prep for transplant to hydro gully system

    Cali-hash
    Sage
    Vanilla kush x4
    Blueberry gum
    Sweet tooth
All under a 110w propagation light.

Veg clones; 2weeks in, all took 5-8 days to root in a heated propagator using rootit! Cutting cubes and clonex gel.
    Grapefruit 1-4
    Bubblegummer
    Blue cheese
    Amnesia haze
    Super lemon haze
    Cheese

Plus 2x autoflowering haze plants just planted the seeds.

Each of these clones are bein kept until their mothers flower period ends and I can determine the best for cloning.

The flowering plants had 6weeks from seed in veg under 18/6 lighting. All had formulex seedling food followed by dutch masters amazing gold range.
Pics are clones, seedlings and example of the start of air pruning, a new technique for me. The last pic is from my gf4 clone that has turned genetically mental, producing a stalk 2x as wide as it should, but still thin. Like a shoelace, it's incredible haha!

Flowering pics will follow when the lights come on!

Any qs comments, advice or suggestions?

    Peace!

  6. Damn!.. that stalk is wild! What happened when it started doing that? Did you notice how it formed? almost looks like constant supercrop training.

No it just started normally, same treatment as the rest but almost like 2plants fused, each node has double leaf and branching, like he genetic Code doubled somehow!

  8. A few pics of the flower space, day 20 since light change, the single plant is super lemon haze spiral strained stalk.

  9. I'm hoping for some feedback on my use of AN recovery for ca and mg, is this suitable for supplementing in coco? It's what I had and my local shop doesn't do calmag, but does do cal and mag A's separate bottles of pure nutrient. Advice or suggestions? Last night I noted a few yellow/White lower leaves, As did my previous (1st) coco grow, due
For feed tonight so would like to know if using AN stuff will solve the issue? Also anyone got any good flavour enhancing tips?

Finally, I've read adding pk13-14 is good for week 3 to boost. Is this a good idea for coco? I usually don't use it when using DM gold as the ec is extremely high as standard. Comments?

  10. Oh shit man, that's sick. To be honest, I'm not a grower.. But I can sure as hell appreciate some freaky clones haha

Haha thanks, crazy I know! Wish I knew exactly what caused it, taking gf4 clones from th freek today and will see if trait
Continues! Maybe call it ribbon clone if it does haha

  12. Ok so my clones are drying out each day... Time to repot!

Using 15x15x20cm pots with Canna coco professional plus. Feeding with formulex, AN recovery and for the 1st time, superthrive. Also adding DM zone and silica for roots and stalk strength.

    Flushing coco with ph5.8.

  13. All done, fed and happy, Also I removed the yellowed leaves (see pic) from the gf4, I think it's due to no ca or mg supplement in their last few feeds, I welcome opinions on this though as I'm not certain that it is, although seems most likely to me!

    Love!

Already have dude, in my flower area I have 4 grapefruits of the same growing pace and pheno. In veg they all had differing techniques; fimming, topping once, topping twice, bending and left to grow standard as a comparison. Thy all look pretty good for wk3, with some buds already starting to join up! I will post pictures after lights on later ;)

  16. Flower area and my newly returned issue of yellowing lower leaves! Ahhh! Suggestions?

Still for day 23 since light switch they are looking pretty good to me, camera doesn't do the bud formation justice!

When do you guys count for flowering: day of light swith to 12/12 or like a week after when the plant chemistry has switched?

  19. Had to post some more because I want to remember this lol, day 24 pics of grapefruit no.3 topped once in veg. Last pic is Bubblegummer, both have 6weeks to go!
