or maybe it'd be more appropriately described as anti-religious rap posted this guy in Music Hall a few months back, didnt get many views, figure more people might be interested here (if you're hip-hop fans) dude combines good music and good points. iraq war vet, studied physics full time and now studies computer science. intelligent artist. but.. if you disagree with what he's saying, try not to comment negatively. i'm just trying to show this music to people who might enjoy it. he produces a lot of his own beats too, and samples Carl Sagan in the second track [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cThah5uV6oY]YouTube - Greydon Square - Special Pleading[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQwQWVb3cTg]YouTube - Greydon Square - Myth[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pBtsIm2k5E]YouTube - Greydon Square Squared[/ame]
hopefully it's just you.. i can understand him perfectly. and im listening through 9 year old headphones right now lol
i just mean hes gotta project his voice better, more cadence. It's too monotone.....thats the word i was lookin for before. But this guy is dope i love the last song, hes got good lyrics
yeah, if this thread gets more responses i'll post more links to his music that's less god-oriented lol. "A Soldier's Poem" is a good song. all of his songs tend to have powerful messages somewhere in them.. they vary but they all conjoin to form an overall thesis that defines him as an artist. greydon was raised in multiple foster homes under different religious beliefs.. This is awesome...good post. First song was pretty sick, good message and I liked the beat inb4jesusfreaks

Perfect cadence, everything on point. my idol in hip hop for sure. pretty sure he's atheist tho so that's why i figured i'd post em.
different artist.. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4NHNQceWwE]YouTube - Johnny Hoax (Atheist Rapper) - Mad World[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmRC8H4eiv0]YouTube - Johnny Hoax (Atheist Rapper) - Mary Did You Know[/ame]

Psssshhhh fuck that. I already made a song called "The Myth" about God/the apparent lack thereof two years ago. I need a new foil hat so people stop stealing my thoughts. The Myth by DonaldJones on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free

this song is the new purpose of this thread. for real dude i write lyrics and rap (with shitty equipment though) and i cant tell you how much respect i have for your talent and the 9 tracks that are posted on your soundcloud. make more, for people like me lol im vibin to the "Alienation" instrumental right now
Thanks for reminding me Alienation is up there. It isn't supposed to be lol. I'm nowhere near finished with that. I use pretty shitty equipment also lol. I'm learning more and more that getting a semi-listenable recording all comes down to understanding the limitations of what you're working with and adapting to the unique problems that each track throws at you. With the right recording technique and mastering processes, there's almost always a way to make it work. The problem most laypeople have with home recording is approaching it like it's a static process that can be easily learned through a tutorial, when in reality they should be teaching themselves the basics of sound manipulation so that they can understand why they're using a technique, or why they shouldn't be using it in this situation, why a different technique might be better, etc. But I digress (highly.) Do you have any links to your tracks?
and graphic torture ,yet he's dope ass fuck in my eyes This isn't a rapper but isn't Tool mostly atheist or at least Maynard? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt0Zqo-vOFM]YouTube - Tool - Opiate[/ame] I love the live version with Layne Staley, you would never think he'd be with their style but the two bands work great when combined suprisingly
this guy is seriously my favorite rapper of all time. and has some great questions [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP7pTmpPFiQ]YouTube - Shad - Question Marks[/ame]
First of all I'm not atheist and I have no religion I believe in god. I like that first video becaue he has a point on the way religions are. They always ask you to follow because they are right and if every religion tells you that then you never know who is right. I laughed a little when he was like "I swear to god" and on the background it was like "which one" lol He raps good and I like his way of thinkin. If you say he grew up with different religions through his foster homes then I really see why he think the way he thinks. He has great lyrics even though I don't quite believe everything but he shows good points and I can see where he is coming from. In all I respect him and his music, its good
