Ate an Edible 8 days ago and I still feel dizzed

Discussion in 'Medical Cannabis: Treatments & Patient Experiences' started by Jakey27, Dec 29, 2019.

  1. Hey guys, so I wanna give you some background regarding my issue here.

So last Friday I stayed over at my friend's house. The plan was to get high and chill for the night. I am not a regular marijuana consumer, I only do it occasionally (1 or 2 times max a month) and when I do it I'm fine with just a couple of bursts. My friend gave me a piece of an edible Brownie and I ate it (it smelled a lot like THC).

Since it was my first time eating an edible and I only ate a small portion of it I decided that it was okay to take a couple of little bursts of smoking weed through an apple.

By an hour passed by the ingestion of the edible I felt the hit of the whole thing solidly all over me. On that timelapse I was watching a movie and since I got so stoned the movie felt like an eternity I started to get scared of it and decided to turn my back against the tv and stopped watching it. The very next day my friend worked early so he woke me up to give him a ride to the bus station. I remember that I still felted stoned and driving was frightening as hell ( everything moved and nothing was stable), so I decided to go back to my friend's house and to wait for the effects to pass by. I slept for 3 hours aprox and felt a little better to drive home. I soon as I got home I relaxed and I slept all day hoping the effects to go away but they did not.

As the days passed by I started to get scared since I felt the same like light-headed and like everything was a dream. I even though that I was having vertigo (which then a specialist totally proved me wrong).

Today is the 8 day since I consumed weed and I still feel weird, I have tried doing exercise and drink tons of water but this does not goes away. I am also getting very little sleep and I am not able to fall into a heavy sleeping mode (any little sound wakes me up).

Is there anybody here that now's what is going on?

    Please HELP!!!!

  6. Had you actually eaten enough to have lasted this long you would have spent the first 48 hours holding on as the planet tried to toss you off into space.
You'd have been down on hands and knees puking your guts out from the worst case of spins ever.
    Several hours of it.
Trust me as I do edibles every day for pain control and I know what a really HUGE dose can do.

Your just wigging yourself out over it. No way the effects lasted 8 days. Nope, nada, not gonna happen.
I'm married to a super light user. 2mg and my wife is blasted.
She's my tester for making oils for her friends and I've sent her to the stars more then a few times and it never lasts more then 24 hours.
<-- next door neighbor ate a 1000mg of my oil and didn't come down for 30 hours but once he sobered up he was fine.

  8. just sit as still in your body as possible... let all that wash over you= feel love and stay grounded in that expression AMAP

Edit , more seriously eat a lot of Ginger too... that will help your inner ear and keep you more grounded plus the heat of ginger Via TRPV1 channels will activate your cannabinoid receptors and move out any unwanted exogenous lipids

  9. CBD CBD CBD. The anti- high. It's just like a cock blocking friend you probably know

  10. Hey men thanks a lot for the advice.

    I am okay now.

Frankly I was avoiding getting back into this forum because I was already fine and I thought that getting into here would recall some bad memories.

Now that I have the guts to come back and announce my status I wanna share a little bit of my experience. Just in case anyone out there is experiencing something similar.

So, in the timelapse of the few days after the ingestion of the edible,I started to look for explanation of my case and to find a conclusion. I was looking for tons of side effects that could go wrong with a marihuana experience.
    COMPLETELY BAD IDEA
The fact is that the internet is full of information and by getting tons of references a lot of ideas can get into your head. So by each search that I did, I was getting my situation worst and this also caused problems at night to sleep. I was getting around 1-2 hours max of sleep (this lasted for 10 days aprox); this contributed to the problem.

Also I learned something about our psychology which helped my alot to fix the issue. Whenever you really have a thought stuck in your head all day and don't think about anything except that, that leads to your mind to actually creating that thought into your reality.

In my case, I was constantly telling myself that something was wrong and that I needed professional help. I kept this in my mind for several days and it eventually became a habit. Until one day, on an ethic class, my teacher is a psychologist btw, she told us this. So at that moment I figured out that probably my mind was creating all this problems and by the simple fact of changing my thought to "I am totally fine now and I will get better from now on" maybe I could get better, I got nothing to lose.

And here I am one week later after changing my mindset. I can assure you that it has worked perfectly for me.

I still have a little issue of waking up in the middle of night and having problems to get back to sleep, but fortunately this only happens some days and I am improving.

--------- So some top tips that I want to share around here would be:
    1.Stay out of the internet
2.Surround yourself with people who care about you and which you can talk with.
3.Stay calm, everything is going to be OKAY.
4.Meditation helps a lot (best advice ever)(Michael Sealeys YouTube channel is tops)

After this experience I am getting out weed or any other drugs that get in my way. Thanks all for your advice! I wish you the best.
