I keep coming in to find yet another plant shriveled up, dried out, and gone brown. I've put it down to heat stress as they seem to have all the symptoms. But I've done all I can to get the temp down to 30 degrees Celsius, put the lights on at night, but nothing I do is helping. It's absolutely dreadful to watch all my babies dying one by one. Which is another very frustrating thing. The fact that they have died one by one, surely if it's heat they should be all struggling. I'm about 10 days from flushing, and have only had this problem for a week or two. I'm down to 4 healthy looking plants, or at least I was yesterday. The way I feel now I can barely bring myself to look. If there's any more to go, I think there could well be tears. It's f'ing brutal watching months of love, graft and money die and be completely helpless to do anything.
I do check on them every day, it's only the last 2 days which has become an absolute chore which I dread, simply because I can't bear to see my babies dying. It's crushed my spirit, enjoyment and enthusiasm. At times I just want it all gone. But I've still got 4 healthy girls left (I hope, I'm literally just trying to get any tips or tricks in before going up there today), I've also got 2 dead plants up there which need removing and stripping of the 3/4oz of unflushed and not fully developed buds, or at least that's what I've been getting off the other 2 dead plants. Tho I am defo heart broken and desperately in need of some sort of good news. I've already made the decision that I shall definitely be going again. There's so many things I want to do differently, I just need to take this on the chin and chalk it up to experience. But if I have the same results I'm gonna be struggling to not just give it up as a bad job. It's so blasted frustrating cos everything was going so well and I am so close to the end. I could scream,
Hey bro, I am really sorry to hear that you are having your plants take a turn for the worst on you. You want to try and diagnose the issue? What is your setup looking like? Are they showing any signs of illness before they shrivel up or is it sudden and unexpected? I know it's hard to look at them but you gotta do what needs to be done for the ones that are still alive. If you want, you can message me and we can troubleshoot the process to get them back on track. My routine I had success with was leaving the door open during the day so that fresh air was able to get into closet and also open the window once and a while to circulate the air. I have A/C and fans that somewhat keeps the temps down. Every few days, I would check the soil moisture levels to determine if I should water. If the soil got too compacted, I would use a very thin poker tool to aerate the soil at an angle. I gently misted the plants with plain water every day up until a few days before harvest. (My humidity is very low so the plants quickly dried off - if you have high humidity I wouldn't do that - could cause mold. My humidity is like 10-50% at best - a closet) Every other watering I would use a light dosage of nutrient. I'm not a fan of letting plants sit in saucer water, if the buildup needs to be extricated, adding more nutrient and allowing it to sit in concentrated water could easily kill a plant so be careful to monitor the runoff and try not to let any plants sit in saucer waters. What is your watering schedule like? Would you happen to have a moisture meter you can test the soil with when the plants die? You got this man just keep it going and you can make better ones to replace the girls that passed.
