Astronomy while high

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by ChiefBuddha, Nov 27, 2011.

  1. I got super high, by myself. Went up on my roof and brought my telescope, put on some good vibe music, and enjoyed looking at the moon and all the stars in our solar system. It truly is a beautiful experience looking at these things, nature is my favorite, whether i'm high or not, just being high enhances it and makes me appreciate the beauty so much more. anyone into astronomy or nature?

  2. Did you know Carl Sagan, who was one of the greatest astronomers, astrophysicists, cosmologists, and authors that ever lived, smoked marijuana frequently and loved it? He said it made him open his mind. Truly, this guy was fucking brilliant.

    I love space, I love astronomy, and I am always trying to find out why we even exist here. Why is there something, rather than nothing? I could go on and on about space, time, and our existence. He had his own show, called "COSMOS," and he would basically explain these concepts of our universe to people, this guy is a genius. Check it out:

    One of his episodes about earth and our universe:

    After that, watch this about his experience and views about marijuana:

  3. Lol robot voice.

  4. that sounds like it would be a brilliant experience.

  5. The second video is a voice just reading what he wrote, it's an excerpt from a book I think. And the first video isn't actually an episode, it's his voice though, but hes narrating an intro for his show. Here is an actual episode from "COSMOS," there are others too on youtube:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE9dEAx5Sgw]Carl Sagan's Cosmos - Star Stuff - YouTube[/ame]

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnURElCzGc0]Cosmos - Carl Sagan - 4th Dimension - YouTube[/ame]

    THERE IS SO MUCH FUCKING TIME. I CANT WRAP MY HEAD AROUND IT. WHY? WHY THE FUCK DO WE EXIST? OVER 6 BILLION YEARS THE UNIVERSE HAS EXISTED, THATS MILLIONS OF YEARS FOR US TO EVOLVE, AND SOMEHOW WE ARE CONSCIOUS OF ALL THIS! WHY? WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I always loved astronomy but ironicly my junior year in highschool I was failing that class because I would never go. At the end of the semester I went to take the 150 question exam high as fuck and passed it with 148 answers right. I would have to say that was one of my most proud moments in highschool.:smoke:

  7. Yeah self educating is a million times more fun and interesting than going to some lame ass class where they don't even talk about what you came to learn.

  8. ive gotten high during the summer and just laid flat on the ground and looked at the stars. it can be pretty fun and kinda trippy. i dont do it now that its cold out though

  10. I want to go to the science museum they have here and they have a space exhibit where your in a big dome movie theater and they have stars and planets. Its kind of hard to explain. But it would be trippy nonetheless.

  11. lol, I was just watching How the Universe Works on Netflix. I really enjoy astronomy and space-related stuff, our universe is just so fucking amazing and there's still so much we don't know or have yet to discover. Stargazing while high sounds like an awesome experience and I don't know why I haven't done so yet.. time to save up for a telescope.

  12. When I took Astronomy we would have class in a Planetarium once a week. Kick back in the lay back desk high. Definitely my favorite class taken yet

  13. just last night i was doin the same thing...2 of my favs in one session, rooftops and the night sky

  14. Sounds like an astronomical mind fuck. Sorry some kind of pun was in order.

  15. I'm mad jealous. Me and my best bud got together a couple of weeks ago and ordered a really expensive telescope. Still hasn't arrived :(

  16. Sounds mind boggling, my friend. I do my creative homework while high all the time. Inspires me and ideas come to my head.

  17. I'm looking at getting my first telescope. I really wanna check out the rings of Saturn. I just think that would be mind blowing to see that first hand.
