  1. Imo, we need to be a well supplied malitia. All the ban is doing is taking the guns out of people who follow the laws hands. Its not hard to get them, its actually easier to buy em off the black market then it is in a store, no background checks and you get an untraceble weapon. If somebodies gonna kill a cop, theyre most likely to use a handgun anyways- ban or not. when we start seeing car bombings and other terrorist actions over here, we need to be prepared. the best way to keep something out of a criminals hands is to keep it off the black market.

  2. i want one.. does this make you feel safe or worried? :D

  3. Guns are a horrible invention. There is no reason to kill, especially from 400 yards away with armor piercing bullets.

  4. Ok first off they are not AUTOMATIC!! They are assault weapons which means they have either a

    Flash supressor
    Pistol Grip
    Bayonet

So they go through a book and find weapons that "look dangerous" When in fact only (1 % of gun crimes were committed with assault weapons before the ban, and the ban had no effect on the crime rate) - usa today. This has nothing to do with armor piercing rounds. Get your fucking facts straight!! Guns aren't the greatest things in the world but they are here, and there is not a damn thing you can do to make them go away, the only way to decrease crime is increase the amount of law abiding citizens that own guns.

Criminals are going to break the law anyways, the only people laws that hinder the ability to own a fire arm affect are honest law abiding citizens. Australia's crime rate went up after guns were banned. Switzerland has one of the lowest crime rates of any country, and is one of the most armed countries in the world. Canada found no corelation between restrictive gun rights and crime rate in the 8 years they heavily regulated hand guns.

oh and by the way, you could always buy assault weapons, they just had to be made before the ban, but in the end the only thing that makes an assault weapon, an assault weapon were the three things I listed above. You can fire a normal semi automatic rifle with the exact same speed and acuracy as any assault weapon.

Fear the government that fears armed citizens.

  5. i want an m-16, with the grenade launcher

  6. somehow i feel we've all been down this road before.............i mean everyone should own an m-16, even if it had any of the 3 you listed above, it is designed to kill............as for weapons for the citizens..........i've said it before.........the US govt has Nukes, does that mean it should be every Americans right to own them too...........?..........maybe see some weapons grade plutonium for sale on Ebay?

    Peace out...........Sid

  7. Yes we have been down this road before.....there should be restrictions... with fully autos and bombs. Not with guns that have bayonets on them. ..

  8. you can mount a bayonet to many types of rifles (like the m16) the problem isn't the guns it's the people shooting them. I've shot lotsa weapons, never people. If you ban all guns people will still kill people. All you need is a box cutter to kill a couple thousand. lets try to get rid of crime, then guns won't really be a concern

  9. The only thing your preventing by banning guns, are law abiding citizens from owning them. You think the criminals are going to follow a ban????
I think the options on the polls could be worked on a little bit better. While I agree that it's a good thing that the ban will be lifted, I don't think everyone should own a gun.

  10. Hrm... Gee whiz guys, I've never owned a gun, and I've never been attacked. Hell, I don't even own a knife. I mean, I walk with a cane, but I'm not even close to threatening. I'm a pacifist, and I hate guns because guns are designed to do one thing. Kill. Whether that means deer or people. That's what they do. And I can't bring myself to kill anything.

  11. Tell that to frankin and jefferson who put it in the bill of rights.

Guns dont kill people, people kill people. My guns have never climbed up, loaded themselves, and shot anyone. If people didnt kill deer, the population would sky rocket, people would hit more with cars, their health would go down as a result of competing for food.
im glad people like Leary are in the minority. The few who want us to live in a socialist society where the govt controls every aspect of our lives and the criminals and the police are the only ones with guns. No Thanks, ill take my capitalism and my right to keep my guns anyday.

  12. maybe your guns don't load themselves, and fire at people, but what about the dad in the states that was blasted in the back by his 10 year old kid, who "got hold of it" somehow, and killed his dad because he wouldn't do as he wanted..............you think back in the day that Franklin and Jefferson had thought of that case scenario?

here some Gillies use high powered crossbows to keep the deer populations down..........and maybe some high powered rifles, but not 9mm and m-16's and any machine guns................so what is the use of these guns in society anyway?........if not for taking lives?

The problem with Americans having this "right to bear arms".........is that if a lot of people have guns, and most i do beleive are responsible with them, possibly like yourself...........but all it takes is a criminal to break into your house while your away, and steal your weapons, and kill people..............now you may have yours well locked up.............but out of how many hundreds of thousands do you think, just keep it "in the cupboard etc".................and no matter what anyone says in that situation..........it was the gun that did the killing, it may not have pulled it's own trigger, but it fired the pin, that fired the bullets..................the biggest problem in America, was that the people were given the right to own one in the first place.................i mean i'm fascinated by guns, and would love to own one responsibly, for shooting targets and stuff...............but my dad taught me that "There's a diffrence between what you want, and what you need"................Peace out.........Sid

  13. Would you feel better had he stabbed his father in his sleep? Or fired a crossbow at him? It should be thought of as a lesson, my father kept his guns in a safe, They may have kept one in there room, not sure though as I was never allowed in there. If you lay down strict ground rules with your children and let them know the punishment for handling a gun without their permission is severe, they will not mess with one.

How can you attribute a death to a gun? The guy breaks into somones house steals the gun and kills somone and it's the guns fault?!? That's ridiculous!

As I said there is no correlation between strict gun laws and gun crimes. There are studies that prove this, I can show you countries that prove this.

As Gilligan said legislation against gun rights puts guns only in the hands of criminals and police officers.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

much like a militia being necessary for protection of states rights, guns are necessary for protection of personal rights.

A gun is what seperates a subject from a citizen...now I know most people don't like a statement such as this, but it's true. Even though I may not need a gun to protect my rights today, you have no idea what may be coming down the road. The longest any political system has lasted is I believe 250 years we hit that in about 40 years. Hitler, stalin and Mao all passed laws banning guns, it was simply a way to take the peoples power away from them. And I am not about to let my right to own a firearm, a right which was paid for in blood, be taken away from me because some jackass broke into somones home, stole their gun and shot somone.

  14. If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns...

I do believe in that statement...
BUT if we were only allowed to have specific types of guns, then it would be alot better..

No one needs to have assault weapons. All i ever use a gun for is hunting and food.. An M-16, 9mm's, and all that other shit isn't for hunting...

Now, being as the US will let murderers, rapist, and all the real criminals who take the lives of others out in the world, we do need some type of equaliser... That does not include those big guns..

I have a friend who makes guns for target shooting.. His guns can't kill people at long distances.. Those guns I concider to be acceptable.

  15. yet another example of how Bush puts the safety of Americans at risk, ad why this country is in severe danger while a republican prez is in office w/ a republican dominated congress........

    KERRY/EDWARDS 04!!!

  16. to all of your mis informed, automatic weapons are still illegal. We didnt lift the ban on machine guns. almost any gun is a semi anyway, just the assault weapons tend to shoot a bigger bullet.

Sid... if a parent has a loaded gun in the house then he is a very irresponsible parent. If he didnt teach his kid gun safety, then he is a very irresponsible parent. But i wont have my constitutional right taken away because of people like that.

also, these "new" weapons (aks, tec 9s) are very easy to find nowdays. Now we are just leveling the playing field.

Also, there is a big, big, big difference between a machine gun, an m-16, and a 9mm. Go read up on guns before comparing them. M-16s are still ilegal, as they are automatic weapons. 9mm shoots a small bullet. It is accually one of the smallest bullets but when u have a clip of 17 hollow t's it really doesnt matter.

  17. any one ever seen bowling for colimbine. that was a good movie. says alot about this subject. also i think you can buy a m16. and a calpsible butt also makes it an assult wepon

  18. You can buy a semi automatic version of an M-16 I believe it's a colt Ar-12> M-16's are illegal though, so no, you cannot buy one.

yeah your right a collapsible butt does make it an assault weapon, thats why the street sweeper was banned.

  19. i very much agree that any law abiding citizen should be able to own whatever he wants guns tanks, battle aircraft (proper licensing is needed of course). but as soon as he impedes someone elses life, liberty or happiness, a full and swift punishment should be given.

Im sick of people saying i'm a criminal for smoking weed when i'm only in criminal situations because the meer existance of the plant offends peple. Its not their right for other people to tell me what I can and cannot do, especially when its based on only their opinion

i'm sick of people saying im a murderer because I own firearms. No one has the right to disarm me if i am not causing any problems, especially when its based on only their poor regard of firearms.

there is no way to stop the destructive nature of humanity. it is our only hope that those with patience and wisdom out survive those who would see only to enrichen themselves by harming society. It is a great folly to exclude any help that we may retain for any potential assault, no matter from what party it is carried out by.
