  1. well, basicly, i just found an article talking about how asprin is made from the bark of the humble willow tree...pretty interesting, right?
i also know, that you can use the branches of the willow tree to make an organic root hormone.....well, most people already see where im going with this, but for the ones who dont...
can u use asprin to make a root hormone?

  2. No - Never

  3. Not sure of the chemical actions involved but did learn many years ago that an aspirin tablet dropped into the water resovoir of cut flowers would keep them fresh looking for much longer than just plain water. How this would translate out into rooting hormones I just aint sure. Have heard quite a few folks claim that killer weed do not even need any rooting hormone to make clones grow roots, but I use some anyway just to be on the safe side. Try Scotts. Never had a failed clone cept for a couple of branch clones I took too late into bloom. They just will not grow.

    Goober

  4. asprin causes hermies. don't suggest it.

  5. dude just buy bonetone for like 3 bucks lol. not organic but w/e. either that or you can use your saliva. yes spit. there was a really neat thread on that on gc i think. if i come across it again ill find it. but aspirin is not by definition "organic"

I think rooting hormone is over rated. I just started growing recently and I took 5 clones without any hormone, only soil and water. Of the 5, 4 have survived. I think that the most important thing you can do is put nodal areas under the soil (I pulled one clone out to check and the only spots on the stem that had rooted were where the nodes were), keep the air very moist, and just wait. Now, im sure rooting hormone speeds up the process, but it isnt necessary.
