so I saw all the ask a ______ anything thread's popping up and beign popular so i figured I'd start one as well. I'm a waiter in a 4 star seafood restaurant in one of the wealthiest counties in Florida. I've been working there over 4 1/2 years and pretty much seen everything so ask away I'll answer anything except for the name of the place
haha I knew this was going to be the first one. I've only done it once and seen it done once too. A customer was insulting me as I left the table, and when I turned around and asked what did you call me? he said nothing, but as soon as I turned around he started calling me an ass hole and shit and I kept asking him what did he say to me? and he pushed his plate towards me and said wrap up my food... he pretty much asked for it right there. I spit in his spinach and stirred it up so you couldn't tell. I felt bad cause he left me a decent tip but whatever
haha yes! every waiter i know has at least on story like that. That guy had it coming to him after insulting you like that. what was it that made him so mad in the first place? when i was in high school my history teacher always talked about her second job working at bar and grill in town. she said she would some times use dirty glasses or squeeze water from a wash rag into ppls cups, but only if they "deserved it" lol. she was a fairly young teacher (late 20s).
I used to be a busser and I just wanna know why ya'll bitch about $5 tips on a $80 check sooo much when you are making hella more than bussers and dont give me that shit that you work way harder.
do you hate it when someone looks at you, looks down at your name tag, looks back up and goes hello *your name here*. i heard people say they hate when people keep using their name tags.
because thats a shitty ass tip to begin with and i have to tip out 3% of every check to pay the busboys so i only made $2.60 on that check and i probably spent an hour working on that table to make that. so is getting paid $2.60 for an hour of your time make you happy? also mostly old people and foreigners tip this bad. oh and im not beign racist here but black people usually tip like shit will demanding the highest amount of service. 4 start restaurants dont use name tags but no one remembers my name anyways, im usually called something that rhymes with it maybe
do you smoke before work? you must get hella bad munchies looking at all that 4 star food all the time if you do haha Also, do they hook it up at the end of the night? i used to work at a restaurant and we got a free meal at the end of our shift
yeah twice but it never lead to anything besides texting, they were underage anyways so i stayed away haha, one didnt tip me just wrote her number on the back yeah i smoke everyday before work and yeah i do get really hungry around all the food. i usually eat the bread we got dipped in our home made garlic ranch dressing. And we only get to eat the left over side dishes at the end of the night but we get half off all the food whenever so thats not too mad nope but ive pulled hair off food before it went out many times. we try not to fuck with peoples food
