ashes for fertilizer?

Discussion in 'Absolute Beginners' started by NuclearGuru, May 15, 2010.

  1. Ok so since ashes are a good fertilizer, would it be a good idea to put my cigarette ashes into my watering jug to both water and fertilize plants? Also, since plants need carbon dioxide and cigarettes produce carbon dioxide, would smoking around plants make them grow better?
  2. cigarettes have a ton of toxic chemicals in them. i wouldnt
  3. wood ash is a good source of potash ,but i wouldnt use cigerette ash,in fact i dont even smoke near my plants, cannabis can be affected by tobacco virus (rare admittadly)
  4. No and no.

  5. no both of those r really bad ideas
  6. Well I was just wondering. I thought maybe I could put my cigarettes to good use.
