which one should i get? does an ashcatcher cool smoke too? they sell for pretty cheap at my local shop so i wanna get one asap
I use my ash catcher to catch ashes only. It's a cheap bowl/ash catcher and I don't use it as a bubbler at all. Just enough water to keep stuff out of the downstem and tube. I found if I used it as a bubbler water would shoot up into the bowl and make a mess. There was so little water in it anyway I don't think it would cool the smoke significantly.

Some are going to be more tailored toward one purpose
If you dont want ash in your bong, either get screens or a carbon filter. IF you want an extra chamber to cool the smoke more and hold my smoke for bigger hits. Then get a pre-cooler Ash catcher and pre-cooler a basically used interchangeably. Unless its literally a dry ash catcher with no water in it.
