As a grower, this is annoying!!

Discussion in 'Marijuana Stash Box' started by LBH, Jan 23, 2010.

  1. What's with this fad of calling some of the better weeds "Dro"??????

I was asked if I wanted to burn one by a guy at work. It turns out he had some "Dro". Well his "Dro" is the weed I grew and sold to his buddy and it was grown in soil.

Hydro is growing method, not a class of weed!!!!!! (unless you are talking about weeds that were, indeed, grown hydroponically)

    Just a growers vent :D

  2. Dro is used for good weed around here. SO I don't what the big deal is the english language has many words that mean different things in different context. I don't see why people get mad when people call it dro.. I usually just call it kush but I know people who use dro

See,...now KUSH,.,....IS a strain. Call it Kush,....if it's kush,....call it dro, if it was grown that way. If it's just good weed, call it good weed if u don't know the strain or how it was grown but putting labels on something when it doesn't apply to the product seems like people just like using the names to sound cool. Retarded.

Example,...If I bought something off you that you called Kush and then I smoke it and it's obviously a Haze,...I'd be pissed, because I know the difference. Am I the minority?

If I order a Heineken and I'm handed a shot of Jack Daniels,...yes,...in the open world of "language", they are both BOOZE,...but they are considerably different and one should not be passed off as the other, not just for the obvious reasons, but the person passing it off looks like an idiot who doesn't know the difference between the 2.

    (cool sig pic 420 :) )

  4. lol I knew you were gonna say that about the "kush"

Were propably from different types of places. Around here I am guessing people don't really get into how everything was grown Just how it smokes maybe a different culture that type of thing

  5. I'm in New England,...RI, and the shit is rampant, lol. Our 3 dispensaries will be opening this yr, hopefully seeing the REAL strains will help straighten folks out, lol.

  6. calling it kush is wrong too. id kick a guys ass across a room if he tried to sell me non kush at kush prices. when you start buying more than an oz or two at a time. that kind of thing matters.:smoking:

  7. Thats what I was trying to say where I am from Kush is what we call any type of weed that is really good or what you guys consider "dank"

So around here if somebody has "kush" they just have good weed not as specific as im sure you are used to

  8. Amen man. I'm a dro lover and I'm tired of people like yeah I gotta gram of some dro and I go down to buy or smoke it in rotation and it's some kush. UHG. Just gets annoying "dro" gets tossed around too much just to say it's some dank

  9. How on Earth, unless u grew it yourself or know the grower, can u tell it's dro???

You're saying that if I gave you a nug of Pineapple express from hydro and one from soil, you'll tell me which is which?

  10. Im with LBH, call it what it is.

If you dont know, use a generic term for quality bud like dank or some shit.

Hey LBH, those dispensaries opening in Providence? I grew up in Northern RI.

  11. Exact locations won't b announced till the permits are awarded but there will be one in the metro area (prov/cran/warw), one north (smithfield. rt 44 area) and one south (South county).

  12. damn me n ma boy had a talk bout dis shit da otha day lol
i cant stand it eitha wen ppl say dro fo weed dats not grown that way...its sad lmao lyk whut if sumbody sold yu sum regs but called it dro............................exactly lmao

  13. Understandable. Rt44 area huh...wonder if theyre hiring!!:D I'd move back to RI to be involved.

Im just hoping GA will pull their heads out of their asses. Its tought to go from RI, to Maine, then to a close minded state like GA.

  14. ........huh?

  15. im guessin ur sayin huh to da last part lmao..basically i'd be mad if sumboy sold me regular weed and told me it was dro ( and da regular weed isnt dro at all)

  16. 27 states have something on the ballot for 2010 as of today. Tomorrow could be more.

Full legalization is on the Cali ballot and if it goes, it will overflow and spill into the rest of the country, just like medical use did.

    It is now the inevitable.

It's just a time thing now till it's all under one umbrella and not all these confusingly different states agendas.

  17. You got a link for that? I cant find anything. Also, I HIGHLY doubt GA is on that list.

Bunch of hypocrites if you ask me. If they truly believe god created all then they should be all for legalizing his creations.

  18. Most people can't pronounce Sensimilla, so the chances of someone saying "Indoor Sensimilla pot" is pretty rare.

A much easier way for the mass's to refer to high quality pot is to give it a nickname, like Dro, or Dank, or chronic. all of which i think are idiotic (Dank means unpleasant wetness for fuck sake)

Basically people are always going to come up with little nicknames for things, so they can be stealth in public, so they can sound cool infront of newbies, or simply to avoid saying words they cant pronounce.

One of my groups of friends that smokes have all started using the term "marijuana" for pot, its fucking brilliant. the way they put emphasis on the word makes it even more enjoyable to say in a conversation..

"hey man, feel like smoking some MARIJUANA?"
"Yeah man, I'd love some MARIJUANA!"

I hope its not a phase and something they all do for sometime, I'm quite enjoying it.

  19. So Opium should be legalized then?

lmao....Read my sig, I'd fit right in with your friends, lol

on that note I'm going to go have me a Marijuana (That's short for dro) cigarette for breakfast and a BONG HIT (not a water pipe) hit of some Dank, dewey, dwc, heady, "LST".

It's the new shit,....like LSD but a few letters better.
