hey, im looking to research artists who concentrate on capturing facial expression in any shape or form as part of my art dissertation. any advice or references would be muuch appreciated. peace.
Any particular types of art? Does animation or graphic design count? You could go into animators work and how the faces stretch during certain expressions (exaggeration). so facial expressions are created by over doing things (like red face for anger, streched jaw for shock etc). Maybe you were talking more about painters and such. I'm not so in the know with that. Exaggeration is used in a number of illustratrations, animations and probably paintings too in rare occassions. What kind of art you doing?
