What's up guys? I personally find it fascinating to know which music artists enjoyed life in the same area that I do. I'd also find it cool to hear about which musicians you share a city or state with. Anybody down? Alice In Chains Band Of Horses Blue Scholars Candlebox Chris Cornell Death Cab for Cutie The Fall Of Troy Heart Himsa Jimi Hendrix Kenny G Kurt Cobain Macklemore Modest Mouse Mudhoney MxPx Nirvana ( Kurt Cobain) Pearl Jam The Presidents of The United States Of America Queensryche Sir Mix-a-lot Soundgarden Just to name the one's I can recall off the top of my head. Share? Anyone else?
I live in a small city in northwest ohio called maumee. Here is a mind who actually started having mild success before breaking up. They played on the first White Stripes album and had close ties with Jack White. Cool stuff that someone who went to my high school played a role like that in bringing the blues back into popular music.
I'm near DC and some of my favorite bands have came from here. Minor Threat, Rites Of Spring, Embrace, Fugazi, One Last Wish, Happy Go Licky, Jawbox, Government Issue, Bad Brains...
Its odd how many great artists come out of poverty stricken cities. New Orleans, D.C. and the closest major city to me Detroit. Actually its not odd at all, it makes perfect sense!
Detroit for sure. The Stooges, MC5, Death, SRC, The Frost, Motown and more, baby. Yeah, well good for you.

I know Woe, is Me is from Atlanta. They're one fucking sick band. Their single "Vengeance" gets me ready to kick ass any day of the week lol
I believe, that if you are from the same place as Slipknot. You could consider Stone Sour as well. It's the same lead singer. Not the same, but it's still the same.
