Arizer solo not charging.

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by omg nipz, Nov 17, 2012.

  1. I have an arizer solo and I have been loving it since I got it. Tonight I turned it on to heat it up and it would only go up to level 1 on the heat scale. I had it plugged in all night last night and just unplugged it to vape. When I plug it back in to charge it the blue idle light and the first three yellow lights keep flashing (faster than the normal flash). Has this happened to anyone else? Is there some way to fix it?

  2. No idea dude, when you find out let us know though as I have one also and would like to know what to do if this ever happens to me.

  3. What model/batch is it? Should say on the bottom, M1___.

Where did you buy it from?

From what I've read at fuckcombustion.com, temps 1-3 flashing when you plug it into the charger means a battery issue

You can either try playing with the buttons or plugging/unplugging the charger, but most likely you'll have to send it to who you bought it from to get it replaced under warranty.

I highly recommend you create an account at fuckcombustion and post in this thread:

Thats the 4th unit this week thats had the same problem, including my M106 from April which I sent in on Thursday to get replaced. I even tried taking it apart and unplugging the battery to reset it, but no luck, it didn't reset

Post in that thread for sure, much more info and theres people there keeping track of how many have gone bad recently. Mine did the same thing too, I actually use mine for 10 mins, turned it off, and trying to turn it back ona fter 15 mins and it wouldn't start.

there is a 2 year warranty but it does blow not having it around

  4. It's the latest model. Don't know the numbers of the top of my head. I bought it off amazon though so who would I seen it to to get it replaced/fixed?

  5. Have to find the name of the store on amazon and contact them.

You could also ship it to Arizer in Canada but you have to contact them first before sending it out. It also has to be spotless clean if shipping it to Arizer

  6. Darn, this is gonna be a sad sad week or two without vapor... : (

  7. yessir, I sent mine out Thursday morning, will be back either Wednesday afternoon or sometime Friday, and thats going through a pretty decent vendor, puffitup

who knows how long it might take depending on the vendor, I would open your amazon account and look at which store sold you the vape

I've been looking for a backup these past few days, I want something extremely simply that'll last me a lifetime, coming down to a log vape or a DBV

I like the EQ from Arizer but its pretty complicated internally, I want something extremely simple for a backup vape

  8. From that link:

"We are authorized dealers and can handle any warranty service for you so you don’t need to ship your unit off to Canada for service."

For contact info, you can click on their name on the right column and then contact seller on the left.

100% positive feedback so you should be fine.

    You're in the US right?

My Solo made it to California from IL and it wasn't exactly 100% clean through USPS priority. I'd be paranoid shipping across international borders, but my unit made it there and should have the new one here by Wednesday afternoon.

  9. haven't run into any issues with mine yet, but would the warranty be void if you open up your solo to give it a torough cleaning? If i ever need to send it for repair, it'll be straight to cannada so in that case i'd like to open it up and clean the internals. Any way arizer could find out?

  10. Don't know if you open it, I asked the vendor before opening mine, and he was hesitant but said fine as I wanted to unplug the battery to try resetting it before sending it in.

Its SUPER easy to open it, unscrew that top part, use a small screwdriver to open the 4 screws on the bottom, and the whole case slides upwards.

As long as you don't strip the screws theres really no way of knowing. Make sure you clean the top very well as mine was pretty dirty. I just wiped mine real quick and sent it in, but thats not shipping internationally.

Ok, once i get home tonight I'll contact the vendor and give the solo a quick clean just to be safe.

  12. what ever happened wiith this? my solo has only been heating to level 1 as well... dont know what's wrong, just had it for its 2nd day now

  13. in for answer!!!!

  14. I got my solo about a month ago, the newest model from Puffitup, and its having the same problem with the blinking lights when charging. How did yours end up?

  15. Yeah happened to me aswell now I've had it less than 3 months sent it off for repair, seems like quite a common problem....

  16. I had the same happen to me after 6 months. Took about 10-12 days round trip to get my unit through Puffitup

  17. Does anyone know if I can just buy a replacement battery? If so from where?

  18. Not just plug and play, you have to solder the old connector onto the new battery, and theres no guarantee thats the problem

Before I sent mine in I unplugged the battery and even tried the power adapter, no luck, so looks like you'll have to send it in unless someone else has any ideas

  19. Hmm. Maybe its just the charger, I'll go to radio shack and see if they have any chargers identical to the solo charger and see if it works. If not, I guess I'll have to send it in.
