Anyone remember that show? I used to watch it when i was a kid and itd scare the shit out of me. The one that i remember the most was the one with the red monster thing in the pool, i didnt go swimming in indoor pools after that for like 3 months. I think there are some episodes floatin around on the internet if anyone else still has an interest in watching them.
i cant find any episode of are you afraid of the dark anywhere. i was able to watch one episode online, but then the site disappeared. but after watching it, i realized how stupid the stories were. i was walking around my local library once and found a couple season of this. when i saw it, i jumped in glee and checked them all out! there was about 5 DVD seasons. when i went home to watch, i kinda got creeped out cuz the stories are actually creepy. and surprised to see a FULL sex scene in it cuz it was showed on nickalodian. but w/e, it was pretty cool watching it again cuz it reminded me of my childhood. i used to watch this show with my cousins all the time! im talking about tales from the Crypt. with the scarry string puppet skeleton.
lol, looking back on this show I'm ashamed to say a few episodes actually did creep me out as a kid. Now? Obviously not at all. How could they when even Hollywood is lacking in scare-factor on their multi-million dollar, R-rated projects let alone a cheaply made television show? Though I suppose for that time period and targeted audience it wasn't too bad. Meh, never really got into it much either way. By the time I did they soon replaced the cast and I further lost interest. Think some other classic Nick shows aired around the same time block though: All That, Hey Dude, The Adventures of Pete & Pete, Welcome Back Freshmen... good times.
I used to love this show back when it was on, I think i was maybe 10? The only two episodes that ever stayed with me was the episode with that nerdy guy who was afraid of swimming, and whenever he would go with that girl that water demon thing would try to get them. Just thinking about it now gives me the chills. Also who remembers the fire ghost episode?
the only episode i remember is the doll house one. where one girl really liked this cursed doll and at the end, she becomes a doll and has to live eternity in the toy doll house through the curse. since i still remember that episode, then i think it really scared me as a kid. lol

that one, the tale of the dead mans float, was hands down my favorite episode. If you watch closely, when the janitor brings them into the locker room there is a date rape poster in the back
