Are yellowing leaves during flowering normal?

  1. Hi all

    pls help!

I'm growing my 1st plant, northern lights, about 5 ft tall and 3 weeks into flowering.....

The areas of the plant growing the bud look lush n green but loads of the leaves from middle to bottom of plant are beginning to go yellow-ish...is this normal or do I have a problem?

    Cheers all

  2. It is normal for the older leaves to start to yellow, it is the plant switching from veg (nitrogen) to flower (potassium) and she will eat her leaves to produce the calyx.

When these leaves are of little use, you could remove them by hand to allow more light to penetrate the plant

  3. Perfectly normal. Almost every leaf on my one plant I just harvested was yellow. Lots even died and fell off. They started doing that around the 4th week of flower. I chopped them today. :)

  4. Nice one

    Thanx for that dudes!!
