  1. Just switch to flush today.
    plus I charged my camera.

    what do you think?

    I'm getting excited!

    pulling the plug is hard.
    Am I early?

Plus here is a video of the tichomes off of the big lst'd girl.

  2. Best way to tell is to take a test bud, quick dry it and smoke it up. Taste will be subpar, but you can see what kind of high you are getting.

Not knowing strain, I have no idea when harvest is optimal. My white widow, I liked about 10-20 percent amber trichs, but again, could be apples and oranges depending on your preferences.

Really good looking plants, though. Congratulations. :smoking:

  3. I disagree with the above poster. I'd get a nice cheap little microscope or powerful magnifying glass and check the trichome colour. Depending of what kind of stone you want, you harvest depending in trichome colour. If you want an uppidy buzz, chop em when the trichs are milky-white. If you want couch-lock, then wait until the trichs start turning amber.

  4. Not to be argumentative, but if you haven't smoked the strain before, how do you know what the ideal trichome combination is? :)

  5. That is very true as well! I didn't mean to offend you if I did either :)

    Nah, we're good. :smoking:

I love my radio shack microscope, by the way. Once you know your strain, it is the cheapest way I've found to judge harvest time. :)

Judging by the video, he's got looking at the trichomes covered. That is really cool, OP.

  7. Hahaha serious? I'm using a radio shack microscope as well! Paid $40 for a kit that included the microscope and a telescope :)

Those plants are absolutely beautiful. They look very sugar-coated!

  8. FenceWalker, is your signature from the song Porcelain by the Red Hot Chili Peppers?

  9. Nope. Panic Switch by Silversun Pickups. :smoking:

Well I decided to take both of your advice.

I've been checking the trics every day.
I've only seen a few signs of amber.
I'm second guessing my clear/cloudy ratio.

    I'm second guessing the flush...
Should I be waiting for EVERYTHING to be cloudy and a good "carmalizing"
I don't want to starve the plants. The foilage is already looking toast.
Will the trichs "ripen" up in another week? should they?

    Oh the anxienty!

    I better test some more....

I'd say the stone is pretty good.

I let a small stem hang dry in an open nug jar since last sun.
I've been "testing throughout the week"
Today I noticed a clear improvment from yesterday.
It noticably hit the crisp stage today.

Maybe I should close the jar now?

The taste isn't so bad, isn't so good.
but on exhale it gives a good buzz.
and my rambling is further proof.

In any case, part of me is thinking I need to feed my girls, they still need to grow up.
Part of me is thinking that the leaves should've been in a better state for a flush.
Don't they live of this during flush?
If they were already yellowing some before I started, and now they have gone to shit,
    Am I being ridiculous?

what happens if at the end of 2 weeks of flush the trichs still are primarily clear, I see good sections of white, and a handfull of amber on the whole crop?

Was pulling the plug at the first sign of amber a mistake?
    :eek::confused::(:D:smoke::cool:

  13. job well done buddy. congrats

  14. Was wondering if a standard microscope would work? One where you have to make slides? Cuz I got a bad ass one with a digi camera included, but I also have one of them mini scopes on the way. But need to know if the standard will work also? I'll have to cut a tiny price of bud off to test, is that going to b a problem.?

  15. I believe if your scope is illuminated from on top you should be fine.
(I thnk some slide scopes are bottom lit for looking through blood and stuff like that.)
30x-100x seems to be the sweet spot.
should work better imo. less shaking mor control.

  16. I think they're still a TINY bit early. That's just my humble opinion. Definitely wouldn't want to be putting a tremendous amount of fertilizer in there, or would you? lol.
