Are we in North Korea?

  1. This is the kind of thing that happens in tyrranical dictatorships, kim jong il does these exact things. Why do teachers think they can brainwash and its ok? It really is scary that this can happen here.

  2. What's with the creepy background music? That's not necessary.

Is it really scary that this can happen in America?
I don't see what's scary about this song, besides the music that was edited in. It praises Obama a bit much for his accomplishments but at least it mentions the value of equality.

It's a waste of time and money, yes. Scary? No.

  3. you gotta be fucking kidding me

  4. Yeah, I have to agree with this. I mean they're not exactly chanting 'death to america' or some crazy shit like that.

    This is scary:

Its scary because it is indoctrination of young impressionable minds. Its propaganda to an extreme and the worshiping of the leader of a country.

Oh and that video doesnt do much for me, we have no idea what he was doing before it was recording.

  6. Where is this indoctrination of which you speak? I sang a lot of songs when I was that age but they haven't effected me in anyway. I don't believe I am a little teapot and I can't remember what my true love gave to me during the 12 days of Christmas.

    Here are the lyrics:

    Mm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
    Equal work means equal pay
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
    Mmm, mmm, mm!
    Barack Hussein Obama

    Yes!
    Mmm, mmm, mm
    Barack Hussein Obama

    Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
    So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----

    Hip, hip hooray!
    Hip, hip hooray!
    Hip, hip hooray!

Which part of either songs do you think is objectionable?
The only thing I see that praises him too much is "Mr. President we honor your great plans/To make this country's economy number one again", but that one line is hardly an attempt to indoctrinate the minds of the youth, in my opinion.
"He said that all must lend a hand / to make this country strong again" is a little much but what is really wrong with either song?

Replace Obama, with Bush, then tell me if it is still ok. Also, im not some kind of conservative that cant see things well. Im a centrist and have defended Obama when it was necessary (not that Obama is to blame for this, but just to show this has nothing to do with my political beliefs) Infact I actually supported him. I just call things as I see them without any regard for poltical parties. Can you deny that this dieficiation of the leader of the state goes on in dictatorial tyrannies? That is what is bad, we dont want anything in common with those countries.

Yeah, I think it's still okay if you replace "Obama" with "Bush".
But then you'd have to change around the line about "The first black American to lead this great nation!", of course. This is harmless IMO. I don't see how this is Kim Jong Ill type stuff. They probably shouldn't be learning songs praising any president, but that is matter for the school board of that area to contend with.

I would say if I was their teacher, I would teach them songs about questioning authority and thinking for themselves but I don't think they would get it.

These songs are a waste of time either way.
At that age, most teachers are just trying to condition the youth to respond obediently to authority figures; there's no real learning going on at that level anyways. But that's another topic entirely.

  9. Hmm, equal work=equal pay

    Everyone getting a chance?

    Total racial equality?

Ohmawgawsh where is this country headed?!?!?!?!?!

  10. Well, it probably does go on in dictatorships like you mentioned, but I think songs sang by some schoolchildren don't push us in that direction. It's really the school board & the parents' concern.
It's not like orders to sing these songs came from the man himself.

  11. Well all those things written about him in the song (equal work, equal pay; everyone getting a chance, racial equality) are great, but thats the problem of the song. It says Obama is wonderful, so that kids get an impression of how "wonderful" he is and love him forever. It doesnt talk about any problems, doesnt talk about controversies, just good things so the kids weill think for life he is wonderful. Kim Jong il is called dear leader in north korea, using your logic that would mean he really is a great leader. Little kids believe everything they are told in school. I believed weed was bad for a long time, as you probably did too. But teachers NEVER indoctrinate and ALWAYS tell the truth and NEVER have a political agenda. Since this is true, ill never smoke weed again, since it is bad, since that is what I was told, and as such Im sure you will join me.

  12. you guys are seriously going to argue that it is alright for a school system to take our tax dollars and spend them for our children to sing songs about our president. Is this church, are we gonna pray next? It something the government has no right doing, you aren't allowed to express your political beliefs as a teacher because you have the trust of that child. The child is going to put his faith in your knowledge because he learns everything from you, he expects you to be telling him the truth when there is no truth behind politics. It's all opinion, democrats and republicans are no different than whether abortion, gay marriage, and redistribution of wealth which isn't a part of the government jobs.

  13. ahahhahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahhahah i get what your getting at by comparing it to north korea but trust me... these kids wouldn't be slouching and singing off key.. they just have an idiotic school system

  14. I can't remember any songs I sang when I was that young. Like I said earlier, I don't believe I'm a little teapot and I can't remember any of those old Christmas songs for shit. Can you point to a specific line where Obama is praised as much as Kim Jong Ill is praised in song in North Korea?
And even if he were praised like Kim Jong, is anyone at fault besides the teacher in question?

I think there are literally a hundred or more things Obama has actually done that you can call bullshit on; this not one of those things and it is a distraction at best.

So really, I repeat: Your concern is with the local school board.
Are any of your kids in that video? If they are, and you don't like what is being teached, tell the teacher, the prinicpal, the superintendent, or anybody else involved in administration that you don't like that you're kids were taught a little song.

  15. LMAO, just turned on fox news and the headline was, 'School children forced to praise pres.'

  16. Well you didnt believe you were a teapot because it is so obvious you are not, its not even a question. Look, you can do anything and say anything to make anyone look like anything. I had an assignment in high school to look and analyze the websites for all 2004 presidential candidates. Bush's website had categories on all kinds of issues, including the environment and his information/propaganda on his website about the environment made him look like an environmentalist. If you can do that, you can do anything with propaganda. What about propaganda used against weed too? Hasnt that shown you that little kids who think weed is bad have been brainwashed. Didnt you beleive weed was bad until you learned better. The sad thing is alot of people dont learn better, thats why its still illegal today. After nearly 100 years of it being illegal, people are starting to learn its ok. After 100 years since Obama became president it will be irrelavent. The lies against marijuana can be fixed and a wrong can be made right, but propaganda for Obama wont matter after that long.

  17. how aren't they?

you're forced to pay taxes, you're forced to enroll your children in school, they're enforced to learn and not be a distraction, if you don't comply you are a distraction and aren't following teacher orders. I don't see how any child should be forced into being told Obama is great, his policies are great, or even that he is a good president.

  18. I had a long conversation with my kids teachers because they made my kids do a mock voting booth, but all the signs and pencils and all the propaganda for the voting had obama written on it. I basically told the teachers that these kids are to young to even know anything about politics, and they do not have the knowledge to make up there minds on who to like and who not to. So I personally believe they are "brainwashing" my kids into thinking obama is the like the best man for the job, when I personally think he is not. But I dont go around telling my kids Obama sucks and so on, I just say everyone has good and bad things.

But... my point was, call or email the school's administration if you find whatever songs they're having kids sing to be objectionable. It's not like Obama demanded these songs be sang about him. As far as I can tell, your beef is with one stupid teacher who went a little far with like 2 little lines in a song.

I mean, we could come up with an song that is fair and balanced about Obama but I don't think the kids would like it...

Obama lied about "troops out of Iraq"/
We all know that bullcrap is wack

    These scandals involving ACORN/
    Make Obama's heart forlorn

Barack smoked pot and did coke/
Hypocrites like him are a joke

Joe Biden coined the term "The War on Drugs"/
that "war" puts money in the hands of thugs

His healthcare reform plans will raise your taxes/
Now that is really what the facts is

Look at who Barack Obama needs to thank/
everyone who got him elected, especially the banks

See, that was hard to do. Try it.

  20. you gunna put out an album? I would buy it...
