I never really got into dabs or concentrates (only had some carts and kief) but I'm considering getting a pen and some wax. I prob would rather go with a pen over a rig for the convenience/portability. I don't want to spend much on one. 50 bucks or less. I did some research and it looks like the boundless terp pen or some options from yocan like the evolve or zen might fit the bill. But I'm open to suggestions and to hear what u guys think of wax pens in general since I have no experience with them, and any recommendations. Something simple and easy ideally.
The orbit with it's quartz covered coil is a game changer for me over the exposed coils in the pen I previously used.
I saw a vid on this. I mainly notice the terp pearls and thought it was interesting but maybe lowkey worried about inhaling one even if it's almost impossible lol. But what's the advantage of this style of coil over exposed coils?
This is what I use. I am a heavy smoker/hitter, I keep 4 or 5 of these on the charger all the time. Buy only the Lookah V coils.....and buy EXTRAS when order if you order . The coils are known to need to be replaced. Some of the other coils taste like plastic Lookah Seahorse MAX 950mAh Vaporizer Kit $84.95 (elementvape.com)
any cheapo pen from the gas station or headshop will work fine ask the place where you are going to buy it what sells the most
The seahorse max has a bubblier too, that is the main reason I buy them. I have enough seahorse max vapes i dont do the puff and pass . I think I have one in every color, so everyone has their own seahorse max to use . also one in my rv for when I go camping and fishing.
Just looked that up, it looks like a mini puffco pro kinda. Seems cool, but a lot more fancy/expensive than what I'm looking for. Just want a basic but good experience for dipping my toes into wax.
Normally the seahorse max is over 150.00 bucks. at 85.00 bucks each, to me is reasonable.. I am not sure I could smoke what i do in a non watered filtered wax carver. If you see what the water does filter then you know what is not going to your lungs. I try to vape at lower temps for the best tastes. One of my favorite ways of vaping is using my dry herb vaporizers and put a small amount of wax/live resin on the weed. best tasting hit in the world...... Once you use a wax carver with water bong like design you will not want use anything else. The bad thing on these carvers is your replacing the coils often. good luck in making your choice...
Wax pens are still worth it in 2024, especially if you value convenience and portability. I’ve been using one for a while, and it's perfect for on-the-go sessions.
okay, so... this is just my opinon, and my experiences. I have the Puffco Plus pen, i took a quick check up on the site to make sure i have the name correct as i'm not home. So, that being said, the charge lasts pretty long, i forget to turn it off frequently. the hits are.... okay, but i've also used a rig and whatnot as well. It's okay to load up, but it can sometimes be messy, and i find it to be too big of a hassle to clean it after each use. I much prefer using my ooze pronto if i don't need to be stealthy. less muss, less fuss, and it gets me to the point of it all quicker
Wax pens are a solid choice if you're looking for convenience and portability without diving into the complexity of a full rig setup. For your budget, the Boundless Terp Pen and options from Yocan like the Evolve are great picks—simple, effective, and beginner-friendly. The Terp Pen is especially easy to use and discreet, while the Evolve offers a bit more versatility with its dual coil setup. Just like in certain games where educational elements are subtly woven into the experience, wax pens can be a fun way to explore concentrates while learning what works best for you.
