Are they drug testing me?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by greenthumb245, Jan 19, 2010.

  1. so im a senior in high school and i am a high school athlete, i play baseball and football. And i always have been going to my known doctor to take a physical that makes me eligible to play.

ive always smoked the great herb on occasion, but recently became a daily smoker. Im just curious if they in fact do test me for THC during the physical. I mean Ive been within 30 days of it before and smoked, but back then i wasnt a daily smoker either, it was just on occasion.

when i go in the first thing they do is make me piss in a cup, but im not quite sure what theyre actually testing for? my dad told me it was just kidney functions but he doesnt know for sure. Then they normally prick my finger for a blood sample, dont know what they test this for either?

My question is do you guys think they're testing me for THC? or not. Because if so im going to need to start detox quick.

any information or advice would be greatly appriciated! thanks GC:wave:

  2. No, unless they are observing a secure chain of custody. (You piss in cup, and they add blue dye to the toilet, and instruct you not to flush afterwards. (sometimes the water may be turned off to the toilet). Then you hand the UA sample to the doctor/nurse, and have to place the seal on it, initialise it, and sign papers before remanding custody of the urine.)

They are most likely testing for kidney/liver function and diabetus. (indicated by level of protien in your urine). The "prick test" with blood is to indicate either sickle cell anemia, blood sugar levels, or other blood borne diseases/conditions.

  4. lol. :D I meant Diabetes mellitus. :)

  5. If they don't tell you they are running a drug panel, then they are not. Drug panel's are too expensive to fit into one of those quick physical's anyways.

  6. They can't test your pee without your consent. So you could just ask what theyre testing for; if they don't test for THC they wont find THC, and even if they do they cant do shit about it.

  7. Just a note, never let a doctor do something to you unless you know exactly what they are doing. If you don't know, ask them what and why they are doing something.
