are these two plants the same strain or separate?

  1.  hi guys,
a friend of mine is growing these little guys and just now i suggested that they may be different strains. there is no reason for the two plants to be separate strains because we thought all the seeds were together. but i look at the leaves on each plant and the way each plant is growing and i see a difference. the top plant or plant #1 has much sharper leaves and the leaves themselves are growing far out in a dispersed area. the plant below or plant #2 has leaves that are shorter and rounded on the edges. the color is a little bit darker and it is a much taller plant yet the leaves are staying tucked in close.
so friends what do you think?
    same or separate strains?

  3. Google "cannabis phenotypes." You can plant 10 seeds from the same plant and end up with 10 different looking strains. They are all the same strain just different phenotypes.
