These three plants of sour diesel, ace of spades and lemon haze were given to me by a grower leaving state that I bought out their equipment and just do not look right to me. I've been studying pics of hermies and that's what Im starting to think they are? I'm concerned that I need to ditch them to the trash so they do not screw with my current flowering plants? I just wanted to take some clones to try the strains but figured I may as well let them finish out but am starting to think it was a mistake as I have never brought in someone else's plants to my finish room before. Thank in advance.
The only possible hermie bit I see is in the first pic, the other two look fine. If it's just that one bud, pop that little banana off and you should be set. Edit: second look at that first pic and it looks like it's just a single seed, were they in flower when you got them?
I just got word back that he was bonzi training them a bit and had used some organic spray on a couple of branches to get some feminized seeds, he says I can just keep an eye on them or clip the suspect branches with tie strap identifiers off. He apologized for the lack of info but that's a bit late now? I suppose its my own fault for asking little about them and taking them to begin with.
I have had them a week and they were a couple weeks into flower already. These signs just started to show up. I did adjust their light schedule a few hours back to match mine?
Yeah that's def just a seed then. I'd pluck it off, then just finish them bitches off while keepin an eye out for bananas. Separate grow area if you have other plants as to not cross contaminate.
Okey will do! I hate to toss them as good looking as they are and I have the space under the lights right now. Most of the ladies I have are just a week from harvest so Im not concerned with them its the three that are just a couple weeks in flower that I am worried about.
Dont listen to these people about what to do with the hermie in the first pic! LISTEN TO ME! Take a plastic bag like a ziploc, secure it around the end bud so the hermie bursts on the single cola which will happen later, but first you need to chop the flowering bud off at the petiole (closest point to the main stalk) and suck out(with your mouth) the air bubble which will form in the end and immediately put it in a rockwool cube or directly in soil as if you were cloning it so that you grow it out and it gets feminized seeds. Make sure to use rooting hormones because this stage in the flowering cycle, the bud will need as much help as possible to not shock and die.
No, Listen to me! Me me me! I think you have some pretty good advice from bluemagoo over there. All I see is the single seed. However, if you do have any pollen in the house, it WILL find its way to your sticky girls. Separate growing areas aren't going to help you so much. Just like me downtown on a Saturday night, if those plants want to get it on, there's not much you can do about it. One of nature's most powerful forces.
He's talkin about making feminized seeds from the hermie. Might be worth a shot. 4th grow(Apprentice) - BC Big Bud 1200w
I have already cloned two of them. I have 4 other plants in the room that are less than three weeks into flower. It's possible I've already screwed the girls in the same room for bringing these in? I see more than just the one seed and on two of the plants. The ace of spades and sour diesel it looks to me that there are two pod looking deals under each flower that are sweeling up. I am guessing both of them have been pollinated either by themselves or each other or were already when I got them? I'm leaning twords just taking clones from the two suspect plants and trashing the rest of the plant. The super lemon haze looks fine and seems to be thriving so I think I will leave her be? Hopefully I have not screwed up my current grow? Does that sound like a safe way to go? Man I have a hard time tossing such good looking ladies. I will get more pics in a bit. Thanks all.
My first grow got pollinated. I still wound up with some good grass albeit loaded with seeds(which I'm holding on to just in case). Your current grow is pollinated and there's nothin you can do about it now. The question you have to ask is are you ready to throw out the work you've put in already or finish it off with less than AAA final product. Let us know what you decide. 4th grow(Apprentice) - BC Big Bud 1200w
Thanks for the brutal and honest news. I suppose I might just as well let them all finish out and see what comes of it. I'm disappointed the fella did not give me all the info on the plants until after I got them home but not much I can do about it now? I will have to cut back on the lighting in my veg room now to hold off a few plants that are almost vegged out and ready to go into flower? I'm guessing a very good cleaning of all surfaces will be in order for the flower room to get rid of any pollen floating around? When do you think I will be safe to being in any new ladies? Do I have to wait until the hermies are out of the room or just after they are done pollinating or will they continue to do so thorough out flower? Thanks again:-( bummer
Hmmm quite the predicament. How many plants are in the contaminated flower room now? How many plants are in the veg room that are ready to go into flower? What is your lighting in both rooms? Is there any other space available? With this info I can hopefully help you come up with a plan that doesn't sacrifice too much of the work you've put in all ready or your next yield. 4th grow(Apprentice) - BC Big Bud 1200w
Hello, they're are four ladies that are days from harvest and two that just got moved in last week and two aporox three weeks into flower. I have switchable ballast and bulbs for both rooms but height is an issue in the veg room so I really cannot swap out which rooms are for veg and flower. I do have one spare 400 watt HPS and might could find a home for the three unwanted orphans at this point. I dislike the idea of tossing them if the damage is already done? I still lean twords just chopping them up for clones but will show you some more pics so you can better give your opinion. Pics in just a min.

This is the ace of spades bonzi and it shows only the two swollen acorn fellas on the stems below the buds.
This is the super lemon haze and it has two branches zip tied together as well and I'm guessing he applied the organic oil to get her to self breed as well? The buds are not far enough along to show seeds yet.
