are the 6500's necessary?

  1. nothing from anyone? no one knows if they will still work for vegging a clone a little?

  2. You can use 2300 or similar, but its not optimal...

That spectrum will cause the plant to stay tiny, and take forever to grow out... from experience it also causes the clones to show sex super early, and makes them a little stinky...

Ive always liked using both spectrums mixed together... but you can use just red spectrum... (2300~)

  3. you think i should go with 2 larger 2700 lights then get one medium sized 6500 ish as a supplement?

  4. 1 plant? if so, why not go... 1 large 2700, 1 large 6500 ?

  5. my box will be able to fit more than one... 2-3 most likely so i may just start with 1 to get my bearings and figure out what im doing

  6. if you can fit 2, i'd do it... I dunno about you, but im alwayd down for more weed lol

  7. ya so for 2 should i just suppliment with another light that is 6500?

  8. what watt bulbs are you talkin?

  9. like 2 65 watt 2700k cfls and then like a 45 or whatever 6500k

  10. you talking actual wattage or equiv?

You can get the equiv to 100w, I think theyre 27w or something... you can get a 4 pack for like $12 @ wally world/lowes.... you could get a pack of each spectrum, get (2) 4-packs and split up the bulbs? Use like 2-3 of each? or if u got the room, use all 8 bulbs and do 3 plants!?

dunno anything about ur situation or setup so cant help ya too much more

  11. From my limited experience...... the plants seem to be happy with a mixture of both. Some say 2700K for flowering and 6500 for veg.

Most of the reading I have done, most people tend to go with a mixture of the two.

    I have half and half.
