I had 90-100 temps going on in my 5x5x7 tent until I installed a 450CFM fan which dropped it to a 78 low, 88 high. It stays 85-88 during the day when the Sun is beaming and drops to 78 when the light turns off at night. My fan is pulling through a 600w vented hood, I removed the ballast from the tent, and added glass to the ballast. How crucial is it I lower my temps further during the day?

Idk about this if he already has a "dawn" set. OP ur doin the right things. Moving ballast out of tent is a good start. The glass should help too. What's the actual temp of the room ur grow tent is in? When I threw a window ac in the room the temps in my (TINY ASS 2' x 2' x 6') tent dropped dramatically. Think about this.. Prolly much easier to cool a tent in a cool room than cooling a tent thats outside with sun beating on it right? Goodluck homie Dutchie
