Are my plants okay or are they going to die?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by notorious978, Mar 1, 2021.

  1. First time grower here! Blue Dream Autos in Fox Farm Ocean Forest. I started with the light to far for the first 1.5 weeks and my seedlings stretched. I moved light to around 28 inches above medium at 1.5 weeks and increased light brightness at 2 weeks to 40%. They are growing like you see now but the stems are very weak and i have to use straws to keep them upright. Do they look okay? Is the seedling stretch going to kill them? They seem to be out of the seedling stage so should I give them nutrients now? Should I top them? LST? I am new to this and trying to learn. I want to get a good yield but I am wondering if I need to chuck them based on the stretching. Can anyone inform me what my next steps should be? I don't have a fan in there yet because the humidifier fan blows a light breeze on them all the time. Thank you for any help or suggestions.

    Using:

    Mars Hydro TSW2000 300W LED

Humidity at 60% ( My humidifier won't go higher)

  3. No should be good, if u can get a light breeze on them it will help strengthen the stem over time

  4. LMAOO ii thought it would be good to keep them upright. Should I add more soil do you think or nutrients?

  5. I would say no to the nutrients right now they are too young, yea more soil could help support the stem. Are you going to transplant them to a bigger pot at some point?

  6. You can add a little clip on fan for a breeze to blow across them. That’ll strengthen them up. (Just enough air to barely see the leaves move for now)
And add some soil to help steady them.

  7. I think those plants look fine.. they're 3 weeks? Like suggested, add a small fan to get a light breeze on them and plant will react by making a sturdier base. Good luck

  8. I also had to take a second close look at the straw, I was also wondering how the hell you got it on there

Little 4 inch fan work good for me when they are seedlings. They provide enough gentle breeze to make them move, but not so much to give them wind damage like the 6 inch clip on fans do. Get the 120 volt plug in type not the rechargeable usb type.

  10. Top those containers off burying the stalk. They will survive but these first couple weeks are critical to a. Autoflower
