Are my plants HERMING??!?! First time grower with pictures

  1. Hey guys I didn't know where else to turn so I decided to see what the experts over here had to say. I've been lurking the forums for a while and have gained a lot of insight but this really worries me. I have been shadowing people in the past sporadically but this is the first grow almost entirely on my own and everything is looking good for the most part except a few days ago I noticed small spider webs on 1 or 2 of the plants but it was nothing major so when I came in the next day to spray, I went over to the timer to shut the lights off when I noticed the ON and OFF trips were right next to each other!! The scary part is I don't know how long this has been going on for or HOW this even happened so I adjusted it accordingly but I am really scared this may cause them to herm. I know drastic changes in the light schedule is one of the main causes and worst case scenario this may have been going on for a week at most but I don't see any signs of herming like nanners or groups of pollen sacs together so far. I do see what I believe are Calyxes (I know they can be confused with Pollen sacs to the untrained grower) but what worries me is when I open some of them I see what looks like seeds at the bottom. I looked up to see what actualy seeds look like and they don't seem to resemble them in size, color or texture (these are pretty small, are white-yellowish gray in color and are relatively soft). I also read that these may be ovules from swelling calyxes and are completely normal but I did my best to compile some pictures and see what you guys thought. These were all taken a few hours from the time of this post. Any feedback is graciously welcomed!

  3. Those have yet to open up but i doubt it to be a sign of hermie.. i sometimes get 1-2 on a plant but not always and when i do its literally 1-2 on an entire plant

Idk their anything to be worried about..

  5. I've got the same thing on both of my plants, like mentioned it's normal and nothing to worry about, having webs is more of a worry as to those lil bastards can wipe out a entire crop and faster then you could even know.

  6. And what strain is that? Looks alot like my NL mix I have going. 20190531_150239.jpg

  7. Thanks for the feedback and I hope your right. I do have a lot of these on my plants however. Should that be a cause for concern?

  8. Thats such a relief you have no idea! Yeah those mites are scary, its almost like their indestructible. I've tried a mix of dish soap and water, neem oil, Azamax every couple days while they were still in veg and just when I think I've eradicated them I start seeing webs popping up at an exponential rate. I've deleafed them and that seemed to get rid of quite a bit of them. These are almost entering week 6 of flower and everyone is telling me at this point my only option without affecting the yield or bud quality is green cleaner. What do you suggest?

  9. To be honest I am not too sure. I have 3 different strains: GG4, Thin Mint GSC, and this weird hybrid my buddy gave me thats named after him lol

  10. Lol ya mites are a bitch, just lost 2 back to back crops to them and we tried everything to get rid of them, spent hundreds of dollars the first time and some guy dropped off clones and brought them back. I did a self grow at my house now and not had a single issue at all, other then self goofs. But ya the last stuff we used killed off the plants and mites stayed, lol, was not really funny but that's why you follow the labels on stuff like that, guy mixed it 10x the strength and nuked everything. Now it seems to be cleared up again but I haven't been in rooms there in a few weeks. Thinking he killed off all my clones again and dont want to tell me.

  11. Damn I'm sorry to hear that. I know how it is to see your hard work and money go to waste. I know someone that harvested with mites and he claims once he chopped them down and hung them upside down to dry, they all climbed to the top (which is really the bottom) and died. He just had to wipe away all the webbing. I'm sure this is frowned upon in this community but he also claims that no one knew it was ever infected with mites and he just had to deal with the loss of yield that the mites created but the quality was still there. Have you ever tried predator mites? I think that may be my last option.
