It's been a while since I last wrote and I have understood much more about the nature of God, the soul and the mortal spirit world, and the role Jesus continues to play in teaching mortals about the true essence of God, who he calls the First Source. I would like to share some of these things here. There are TWO types of love. The first is the natural love of men, of which we are all accustomed. Yet the second is a type that can only be GIVEN to you through your soul perception of the First Source. This is DIVINE LOVE - and it is freely given to all who desire it. Divine Love is received through your Soul - and as you pray to understand and receive this love, your soul perceptions increase. It is a cycle of perception that allows one to better understand the Spiritual Laws that create our experiences. For now I will end with this. Divine Love in your soul will prove its own existence. It can be both "felt" and "seen" as a powerful HARMONY you can experience in your life. In past writings I have referred to this harmony as "peace". But HARMONY is a better word.
I agree-but I don't believe that Jesus had anything to do with it other than to give people a way to get to It. And I don't believe it has to be 'given' ......only that you learn to see it in everything you do. This produces harmony. Yes. people have souls.
You are right, Jesus simply taught the truth, which was that God has rebestowed his Divine love upon mankind. He is continuing this teaching even now, both in this sphere and in the spiritual spheres. The potential for a mortal soul to receive this Divine love was taken away from mankind at the fall of the First Parents. Now, it is freely available. And the new Gospel is the Gospel of the Divine Love - which, as you have already said, is also the Gospel of Immortal Harmony. Pray for understanding of this Divine Love - and pay attention to your soul perceptions. The Divine Love is given by the Spirit of God as this Spirit teaches you through your soul. As the Divine Love begins, drip by drip, to fill your soul - so too will the very essence of God begin to meld with yours. We are seeking at-onement with the First Source and Center.
omfg...I had a response all done and auto save messed up. I have to disagree in that there are two types of love. From my experience, or for what has happened in the moments that appear to be love manifesting, it's just as you say, a harmonious divine experience. To say that there are two types, one a sort of pseudo-love (where IDK wtf), and the other...a complete and open accepting nature of that which is and all that is, the meeting of consciousness and everything which exists, undisturbed and observed. Atleast that's where I'm at at this point...and I dunno where Jesus fits since...well.. ya, who? *No disrespect
It is the soul that is the man. The soul is created in the image of God, for he is soul. The soul is created with the ability to live in natural, or mortal love. Yet, God has now given the soul of man the ability to live in a love that is of a FAR higher energy than natural love, which you can think of as "Divine Love". This love must be desired because it is a gift available to all mankind. As one prays and longs for this Divine Love to fill them - one's soul grows in its ability to understand how to LIVE in this Divine Love. A life lived in Divine Love can be felt and experienced as a "peace that is beyond understanding". This peace is the effect of one's soul that is progressing BEYOND the limits of the mortal, natural love - and into the immortal harmony emitted by Divine Love. Awareness of the nature of Divine Love, a second kind of love, is the beginning of the new birth.
I have to agree with dannyszu in that there aren't two separate types of love; there is only one. But there are two different ways to relate to it. The first one, which you call "natural love" is loving the created world without reference to God. The second is the much more encompassed love, which loves the created world through God. They're both the same, only that natural love is merely a partial understanding of real love. My thoughts, of course.
this thing they wish to label as soul..... is that bit of each of us which was once one with all....no matter what you call it.... that part of each of us which at some point or another longs to be one with all in the way it was before this phase of existence.... it is that longing which drives you to realize there is something more to you than just flesh and bones..... that spark...that spirit....that soul......whatever you call it.....all you really need to do is give it a bit of attention....and it will eventually show you all you need to know.... you dont think this idea of god works if you have no choice but to listen to other men to find it do you? it has always been with you....or it is not at all.... this jesus taught that all they needed to do was cultivate a relationship with it...... the church likes to keep itself between you and it......a place it never belonged....
No approaching. No leaving. One Love - infinite potential. No souls - only Soul. Jesus was a man. Christ is the Way.
I don't get it? Elaborate if you so desire. I feel as I read these comments...that they're all the same points, expressed through our own understanding. It must encompass all, it must incorporate our being, it must not be desired, it must be let loose, it must be free, it must simply be. Let your intuitions guide you through the maze of limitless options where it is clear one path and one path only must be chosen. To add or subtract anything from the equation sets you separate from it, gives identity to I, only ever possible to happen in this conscious existence we so dearly cling to.
Because when God created Adam and Eve, they walked with him in the garden, until they sinned. That's why most people call God a liar. Because he said don't eat from the tree of good and evil, for that moment you will die. Well they ate from it, and they didn't die as we know it. But they did die. They died a spiritual death. They were made known of good and evil and went from living in the spirit (good) to living in the body (evil - sinful nature). That's why they no longer walked with God. They are unable to do so in the body. Let us create man in our own image. God isn't in the body, he's in the spirit. We were created in the image of the spirit. Nothing is mentioned about the soul... although there is a soul, it isn't part of the topic.

For what purpose do we play in Gods fantasy land? For how, if we are in his image, in his spirit, are we able to make wrongdoings (and then absolutely FUCKED (just cuz of an apple mind you) for eternity). We are gods, it is a great leap in ones mind to make this hold true. Show me one figure who is greater than us. That being said, we do not know what is in the whole physical realm of the universe. We do know...that we essentially 'rule' the earth. I am so glad I became an atheist at 13...and remained curious.
Asteroids, AIDS, cold weather, black holes, hurricanes, Oprah, lava... but yeah, besides the 99.9% of the Universe ape-descendants don't control you are totally a God. It took you till you were 13 to figure out you created yourself? I mastered the Universe at 8.
One is unable to comprehend that which is outside their awareness. Divine Love exists beyond your awareness. Divine Love is an energy. It is the essence of God's soul and it exists as the smallest particle of creation. It is next to nothingness. Thus, the only way you can become aware of that which by nature exists outside your awareness is to desire it from your "soul". The soul is able to receive this energy of Divine Love, because it is the SOUL of man that is made in God's image. You must pray, with a genuine desire from your soul, to receive and comprehend Divine Love, and how to live in its energy. Now, as you LIVE LOVE, you will release the energy of this living love into your reality. You will discover what love feels like when it is alive.
I already told you the answer to your question. You must not have read it. And to think that we're damned simpy because of an apple (how do you know it was an apple?) Is asinine and proves your misunderstanding. The FRUIT has nothing to do with it. God said don't and we did. Period We are not in the image of God, FOR WE ARE SINNERS. Therefore we are not gods. Although satan thinks we can be: Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." That's the origin of evolution, in a single sentance. With God there are laws, right and wrong. With evolution.... who says what's right from wrong? YOU do. So there's your juice box stuck in your own fridge my boy. Evolutionists indirectly believe that they're the gods of their universe (and rightfully so) I just don't believe it.
Ok, lets retract. So..who were these people with God, in bodies, and in spirit (I assume) prior to the apple event? The same? Only they knew not of evil doings, but with curiosity, with the god-given ability to question and with gods own instigation (the very knowing of this fruit tree) he informed them to not eat it. God, then, must have known they will eat it and set them up. Who wouldn't? Why is it that children do this? I understand the stories point of view you take, but...do you actually believe this happened? Or is it just one way of expressing how man came to be? And did everybody eat from the tree? Did we all get a chance? Wtf? And I think you see why I say we are gods. The only foreseeable, until proven wrong... gods. Wrong to assume? how? There's no need in believing. You know you're typing to another human being on a weed forum, you know your sitting on a chair (most likely), you also know that you are conscious. You don't have to go on believing that the sun will come up the next morning. Believing helps when you are trying to attain a goal and want a certain outcome. Just like when you go to strike a soccer ball in the top corner...To have the capability to choose to believe and know something is part of what makes us human.
