Apparently capitalism > socialism (a simple chart)

  1. Hmm.. as expected.

  2. Not fair, you're using real life examples and not the flawed card game method with its limited scenario.

  3. Damn. Ok let's make this more scientific. North and South Korea both started with 2 cards each. Since South Korea opened it's markets, it now has a whole deck of cards, but North Korea, being very socialist, still has the same 2 cards. My argument is now bulletproof!

  4. Dude you have totally resolved an age old debate here.

Because those numbers on your chart are only affected by whether a country is capitalist or socialist.

You are a genius man you should write a book.

For real. Maybe even a logic book. Or a book on politics or something.

I would love to read it.

What the fuck are you doing here man?

  5. I know right? :hello:

  6. Sure, it doesn't solve the argument of whether capitalism is better (or greater than) than socialism or not.

But it's a great empirical piece of evidence that in similar environments (geographically, ecologically, socially/culturally), capitalism is clearly outpacing socialism as for as economic standards go.

  7. It's not just economic standards. I'm pretty sure South Korea beats North Korea easily in any and all measures of overall living standards.

  8. Its funny how mrgoodsmoke used to be a Republican who supported Newt Gingrich now he just spews whatever statist leftist propaganda he can find. Further proof that Republicans and Democrats are completely interchangeable.

  9. True, although this piece of evidence only shows economic standards (or one of them). ;)

  10. Its pathetic how many of us actually think socialism would work out well.

  11. James you are a liar.

I said that off the repub candidates Gingrich was the least of a joke philosophically.

Stop making up fake arguments, taking them down and patting yourself on the back. You look like an ignorant fool.

  12. Guys guys, Newt is way off topic, but who cares?

  14. LayLow,

Over 70% of the earths surface is water, and food grows naturally.

If you don't understand why food and water shouldn't cost money, then I don't have time to explain it to you.

  15. Oh and the only reason socialism has failed every time in history is because capitalist assholes have sabotaged it. Duhhh.

  16. China actually has a mostly capitalist economy. Very few regulations on production.

It's government has a lot of control over media and politics, I believe.

But yes, the Chinese economy is growing so quickly because its largely capitalist.

Thanks for making that point. ;)

  17. China isn't nearly as socialist as N. Korea. China has opened it's markets considerably. N. Korea is better regardless as an indicator, since we have South Korea to compare it to.

  18. Resource based economy, there no more debate.

    Peace be with you
