Anyone maybe able to answer a few noob questions?

  1. So, I've had my plants in clear plastic pots for about a month, and I just found out this is bad. Like, really bad. I read that mold and fungi can grow when the roots toouch up against the sides of the pot and then are watered, and that roots hate light. I haven't noticed anything unusual, and the plant is doing quite nicely and is getting pretty sizeable now and has continued with decent growth, I'm just worried that I may have problems in the future. If I transplant into a black 1 or 2 gallon tomorrow, could I possibly avert some future disaster?

I'll just post some timeline pics, with the last 3 being taken today:

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated, just no flaming please, this is my first ever grow and I'm really kind of just learning as I go along. Sorry about those last two pics being flipped sideways, they just won't stay when I edit them.

  2. Just throw some duct tape around ur pots bro top n bottom

  3. For right now just put something around the pot to block light, I think it's nice to be able to see the nice roots with a clear pot, but if light touches the roots there won't be any on the outer edge of the pot, as far as the bigger black pot, I can't say that it would help avoid disaster later on since I've never had a problem with clear pots but I don't use them often, if it's time for a transplant then by all means go with a black pot around 5 gallons
