Anyone know a site where I can find legitimate research on ADHD & Marijuana?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by greenchick, Sep 18, 2012.

  1. Hi, so today I finally told my parents I smoke weed. Surprisingly, they didn't care and I can get my MMJ card as long as I prove that it helps people with adhd, anxiety or depression.
I looked up info about it on google and it's mostly horse shit, with no real back up from any reputable doctors. Can anyone lead me to a website with legitimate information? Or any articles or studies you know of?
Thanks in advance, and happy toking.

  2. have you tried looking at research from the netherlands?

  3. I dont have any scientific research just my experience. I think it depends on where you are in your life. I truly think weed helping adhd is one of those things where its just an excuse to get stoned, at least with young adults. thats just my opinion from what i have seen and experienced. anxiety and depression are way different. anyways as for the adhd I think it could probably help in some cases but it depends what you are doing that requires you to use it. Like if you are a student, and thats your reasoning, dont use it. You will hurt yourself more by being medicated than you would not being focused. The reason is because marijuana blocks all incoming information, you will forget shit. That is why for me I perform best by taking adderall when i feel it is necessary and using cannabis to help the side affect from adderall like extra stress, not being able to eat and just a bad stomach in general. hope i helped a little.

  4. Granny StormCrow keeps lists. Start in the sticky list then send her a private message to get her updated list. It is big.

  5. Granny Storm Crow is the ticket, she'll have the studies you're looking for.

    Good luck.

  6. lol we have the list here on GC, i linked to it

  7. Ah, so we do. :smoke:

Nevertheless, becoming comfortable with doing research yourself is really important, particularly with a topic like this that is prone to extreme bias. Google Scholar is a good place to start.

  8. we have interwebs, research is going to be obsolete within the century lol everyone will just BE the internet and know everything and puke out memes and shit all day

    truth right there
