I've been reading up on this and watching some youtube videos. I think I may have had one or two of these types of dreams, but I can't seem to do it regularly. I had a friend , years ago, that had described exactly what I now realize to be lucid dreaming. At the time I had just written it off as the ramblings of a stoner , but now I am quite intrigued by the subject. anyone here that can do this on a regular basis?
Yeah, you just need to be patient. Close your eyes, preferably when you're really tired, and relaxed. And just lay still. You will probably start to itch, but just don't move. Actually, when you're burning out is a great time to do it.
Yeah I love it when it happens but I haven't been able to do it on command yet. My favorite thing to do when it does happen is fly around. It's sorta like Peter Pan in dreams though haha, you have to really believe you can fly in the dream or you'll fall.
when im dreaming if i turn my head really fast to look at something it makes my dream vision all fucked up and at that point i can lucid dream
I got into lucid dreaming after I had my first lucid dream. It resulted from sleep paralysis. I've had previous encounters with this phenomena so I was kind of used to it. Since I was calm I was able to essentially observe this state. As I got to think, I started dreaming. This is known as a WILD (wake induced dream). You can voluntarily have them if you put your body to sleep first. The WILD method is difficult because it requires the person to be completely still and calm. The way to WILD is to lay there with your eyes closed and make no movement. Eventually you feel like something heavy is being laid on you. This feeling is likely to scare you and it will disrupt the process because people tend to start breathing faster. As you breathe faster, your body recognizes the change: It knows your not sleeping. WILDs feel more real as well. You could also sleep on your back and wake up to sleep paralysis and then lucid dream. lol Chances are no one is going to want to do this. After my first lucid dream I decided that lucid dreaming would be my topic for my class presentation. I had a huge surge in lucid dreams. I had a few during my research and a few after. The method I chose to have lucid dreams was the MILD (Mnemonic induction of lucid dreams) method. Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (The MILD Technique) This one is much easier but takes more time. I wrote down my dreams as soon as I woke up (also when I woke up during the night). I could recall like 3-4 dreams everyday. I also touched walls to see if I could pass through them and at the same time I would ask myself if I'm dreaming. I did this at randoms time, whenever I could remember. My first lucid dream after trying out this stuff was caused by someone saying "I'm dreaming". This is likely caused by this hilarious video. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vo5xhRTOjU]Gamer Poop - Oblivion (#2) - YouTube[/ame] At 00:54, the character says I'm dreaming. I remember saying this in my head over and over because that part of the clip was funny. Since I started to question my waking life, my dream self also started to question his world too. The wall touching came in handy when my dream self had awoken in his old apartment. Across my bed was my sisters bed. We slept in the same room (this was back then) and my dream self tried to wake her up. She got up and scared him. As he backed up, he realized he wasn't restricted. He was seeing darkness now. He then realized he just went through the wall behind him. This is where I came in and saved him. Of course my initial reaction to the lucidity was aww. In my dream, I was aware I could pass through walls now. I also thought since this was a dream, I could do anything. I tried going through my glass window to go outside. I was unable too. Instead I went through the wall and out I went. The reason I could not go through glass was because I never put my hands on glass like I did to walls. Eventually my dream self and I ditched the wall method (still used it for escape though lol). My dream self came up with a better idea to become lucid. In this one dream where my dream self was in his (same apartment) room, he wondered why he hasn't slept yet. Clearly, his introduction to the real world (which was MY introduction to his world) made him question his world. My dream self decided that if he was able to defy gravity, by jumping an enormous height, then it would mean he was dreaming. I never tried this method because I never even thought about it (then again, maybe I did). Sure enough, he went up and I went down. Both my dream self and I knew together we could accomplish much more. So maybe it isn't advisable to try to control your subconscious entirely. Here are some cool ideas I thought about but never tested because I stopped lucid dreaming. Remember how I couldn't go through glass? In that same dream, my sister started to follow me but eventually she turned into someone else. I wanted to get away so I went outside via wall manipulation motherfuckers lol. Turns out this person could go through walls as well. Maybe because the idea of going through walls was possible in dreams, then maybe I also thought others can go through walls as well. I thought maybe observing other failing to go through walls would solve this. I wanted to create barriers in my dreams whenever someone decided to follow me. I also wanted to keep windows solid. Possibly creating entire home made of glass, trapping people. I also wanted to see if I could solve problems in my dreams. I wanted to carry a piece of paper with me with a simple 2+2 = 5. I did this because I thought maybe my subconscious would solve the problem for me. I would leave it in my pockets and then look at it regularly. In my dream I was hoping that I would be able to see 2 + 2 = 5 on that paper. Then I would see if I could change that 5. I need to stop writing but let me tell you guys this : Lucid dreaming is real. It feels real as hell too. We are all capable of creating new universes.
God I wish I could lucid dream again I took an 8 week weed break for a job drug test, I would lucid dream 2 or 3 times a week it was amazing, sex dreams, flying dreams, just straight creating adventure dreams haha it was so good But now I smoke again so they have gone away :/
Lucid dreamings always interested me. I don't think iv ever had one. But I also toke everynight before bed which is no bueno for REM sleep.
I have done it a couple of times. I read an interesting article that linked alien abduction encounters to WILD's. It was very interesting. I have induced a lucid dream chemically the first time I tried Salvia Divinorium. It is sadly illegal now in the US. Miley Cyrus was photographed using it and then all the mothers screamed about the corruption of their children and now its illegal. I find it really annoying that people keep using child safety as an excuse to kill my fun.
i had my first lucid dream just thinking about it. it ended very quickly. my only other dreams involving lucid moments also ended quickly. i don't know how to control it
The DEA noticed more people were using it thanks to Miley's exposure and proceeded with calm logical for site, because it has been used by natives in south America for thousands of years. (Sarcasm) NAAG | Salvia Divinorum: Not Your Father?s Garden Plant
