Is anyone here ina workers union? Im thinking about going into the International Union of Elevator Constructors and was wondering about the drug test policy. I read that they only drug test after the aptitude test but im wondering if they drug test regularly afterwards. Can anyone shed some light on the situation?
the men in my family are part of the teamsters and they've never been drug tested except initial employment testing. it's possible they will drug test you regularly just because of the safety/risk associated with elevators. personally i hope the person that's building the machine that will constantly carry humans up and down is sober 100% of the time he's building it.
Thats the idea i would never smoke before or during work. Even though people say it doesen't impair your motor skills it does for me. I would not ever risk it. I was thinking about smoking after work at night etc...
