Anyone here use Oneness nutrient?

  1. Anyone use oneness 1 part base nutrients for a soil grow, mines in b'cuzz coco fiber. Was wondering if you do would you happen to have a nutrient schedule that worked well?

  2. Can't you just follow the instructions on the packaging but only do 1/4 strength and work your way up? but follow the same regimen?

  3. have been but i have nutrient burn for some reason

  4. What is your PH?

Ph is not a concern I have coco fiber which has no nutrients whatsoever. Also distilled water

  6. lol.. well first Water is very much important, if your PH isn't correct then its locking out your nutrients. Distilled water is bad to use on plants as it has no minerals or anything in the plant, it will actually start pulling the minerals from your plant... so yes water is a big factor to why it looks the way it does.

  7. I believe you to be very wrong on this subject, i realize the water has 0 value for the plant that is whyy the nutrients are essiential. I am not looking for the plant to pull nutrients from the water. I have never had a problem before with distilled until i switched nutrients, the problem is lieing within the amount or lack of amount of nutrients. I appreciate your input but i gurantee you to be wrong on this matter.

  8. Lol dude, a distilled water will have an impact of how often you will have to add nutes, causing salt build up, (dolomite lime to help lower and buffer that out) But if your pH is too high or too low, you could put in the correct nutrient in allllll day long and the plant wont touch it, it has to be a correct pH... Now maybe your pH is correct and its the nutes, but to say that water and water pH has nothing to do with it is ignorance.

  9. When using distilled or RO water its best to add a pinch of Epsom salts, other wise you can have an issue with a MG deficiency

As the other poster said... PH is very important in nute uptake.. if it's not in the correct range the plant won't be able to use those nutes. If your getting nute burn you need to back off on the nutes and find the level that they require, every strain is different. If its really bad burn then you may need to flush the soil out a bit.

  10. I guess im just a little confused as this is how ive always done it never checked ph and never had a problem till i switched to this nutrient so im puzzled. How much epsom salt do you add to your water any ill affects, i would think this would cause salt build up? What is the logic behind the ep salts just curious

  11. Epsom salt isn't the same as a salt... its actually magnesium sulphate. I literaly add a pinch to each gallon when I water.

RO and distilled water have a very low PPM, which means there are no contaminants in the water and it also means no trace minerals either.

Without knowing what the Oneness is doing to the PH level when added to the water you really can't tell if its in a range that the plants can use. I use Humboldts Natural line and grow organic so my plants are able to take up nutes in a much wider range.

  12. Interesting well guess im investing in a pH pen and some ep salt, and switching back to the nutrients i never failed with, so aggravting dont know why I switched, do you know anything about carbon filters can you check out my other thread on the 1st page?
