(Texas = close to Mexico) + college kids = yes. Just make sure you have a sploof and cover the bowl after you light it so there's no stray smoke. Most Texas colleges are relatively heady except A&M. Any reason in particular you chose Texas Tech? Texas State is totally where it's at
