Anyone ever have an issue with social sweating?

  1. Been having this issue for a good 4 years now. Started real bad in my 12th grade year of high school. Would worry about it right when I woke up, sweat heavily on the bus ride, and by 1st period sweat pits like a mofo. Would stop when I got home. Now it only happens when I go to work, and when I go to any social gathering or situation. How do you deal with this? I know I have social anxiety, so I know all of my issues, it's not confusing to me. But if you ever had this issue, what have you done to overcome it?

  2. I read this "social swearing" hahaha.

Well for one you need deodorant, I'm sure you use some but it sounds like you need some heavy duty dry shit. Gels and what not don't do much for sweat. You also need to just relaxe, and maybe wear something to cover up the smell in case you do. Just show up to stuff super blazed, you won't be anxious so you won't sweat, you will smell like weed, and you'll be in a great mood!

I would also suggest showering once at night and in the morning before school/work, just to keep your skin clean and keep anything else that might smell from smelling. Also, keep deodorant with you at most times and maybe a rag in case you need to excuse yourself and tidy up. Just remain confident and you likely won't sweat.

    Alternatively, move somewhere colder :D

    Good luck, Blade! :smoke:

  3. Haha thanks for the response dude, thats the issue. Tried all the deodorants, it's evident they don't make deodorant that protects against anxiety haha

  4. idk if this is relevant, but i tend to yawn a lot in social situations

  5. People must bore the shit out of you haha. I would rather a nervous yawn than gallons of sweat pouring from my arms and hands.

  6. I have the same problem OP.

Unfortunately, treating the anxiety is your only option. Of course, you could have surgery on your sweat glands, but that's costly and I really don't think it's safe to completely cut off your body's ability to produce sweat haha

  7. Yeah dude, never had this issue when I was younger. And I am completely aware of the problem. I know that I think about it, therefore I sweat. But it really fucks with me when I go into jobs, because I don't want people seeing that. People get weirded out with a really sweaty person. People without this issue, do not realize how lucky they are

  8. lmfao yeah I used to have the sweat problem but i think that was before i wore deodorant. I can have some social anxiety in some situations so I think thats the cause

  9. Yeah I wear a ton of deodorant, and I don't want to be on any anti anxiety meds

  10. This happens to me some of the time, It is mainly just my palms though. There isn't much you can do about it, I just deal with it. Smoking an indica helped me to calm my anxiety.

  11. Smoking never did anything to help or not help the situation. I smoked everyday for 4 years, still had issue. Now I am on my first T Break, ever. been 2 weeks and 3 days. Still an issue, only a little better

  12. i can kinda relate, i get real hot(as in burning up) in social situations...thing is when i was younger i was really out going, but now im not, i get really nervous, unless its people i know

  13. I got this one friend that does an awkward fake yawn in social situations...he isn't yawning, just covering his mouth with his hand and inhaling lol

is this you? I knew it was you, fucker!

  14. Yeah like around my family, or some people I can be this geniusly funny person who everyone loves to be around. But then some people, I act like a total weirdo and introvert around and it makes them have a completely different perspective of who I am. And I know that they are wrong.. those fuckers.

  15. same thing happens to me, except it doesnt stop. you have hyperhidrosis

  16. I have a very sweaty ass.

  17. Well.. I thought I did. But realized I only sweat in massive amounts when I am in social situations. Work, school, family events. Things of this nature. As I sit here now, I am dry as can be. I do sweat a lot more than the average person doing activities, though as well. But I sweat sitting in cool rooms with people around me. It sucks man

  18. Probably good lubricant

  19. I know that feel bro, 5 minutes talking in front of the class and my ass crack is a swamp

  20. I have that problem, i usually keep a spare stick of deodorant in my car, and if I'll be out of the house for long I'll bring an extra shirt. Loose clothing helps too.

More people have this problem than you think,a lot won't admit it.
