Here's an example of a chip tune: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvn3baXqtkA]Penguins Of The Apocalypse (NSF, VRC6) - YouTube[/ame] Chip tunes are basically retro-style songs that are created with technology that emulates the sound chip from old video game consoles. I know it sounds fucked, but give it a chance, it's so awesome.
yea i dig it i actually like listening to old school video game music in general earthbound, donkey kong country, legend of zelda but yea i use to go to a website called 8bitpeoples.com they have a pretty big list of albums and eps for free go check it out
Nice! I like all of the tunes from those games, as well. Video game music is soooooo underrated for sure. People just don't 'get' it, haha.
The music from the Mega Man X series is fucking awesome. I would put the game in just to listen to Storm Eagles theme. Retro games can have some pretty amazing OST.
