Because I did! It was my first grade teacher that made the decision because I didn't talk. How lame was that, and I'm still like that because I'm a fucken introvert! But I'm kinda happy I did because all of the friends that I had in first grade are all in jail or douches. And the ones I meet are way better!
That's the way it goes huh? I was never held back, but the kids in my grade were douches. I always hung out with a grade ahead or behind. Although my best friend was in my grade:/
Nope, but went to summer school for math since the 7th grade and never graduated with a regents diploma because I never took the math one lmao. And that was suppose to be a requirment for my year but somehow I got swept on threw the system.

Yup, i got held back in 2nd grade because i was comming from a catholic school to a public school and they didn't think i was ready for 3rd grade so they kept me back a year. Then i got held back again in 6th grade. I remember at the start of the year i wasn't listening when the principal was telling us what we needed to do in order to advance onto the next grade. From what i heard i thought we had to pass 2 classes and the FCAT. So naturally thinking i only needed to pass 2 classes and the FCAT i really didn't give a fuck that year, i aced all my electives and passed science because i liked that shit, i passed the FCAT with flying colors too. BUT i failed 4 classes so they kept me back in 6th. After that i straightened up. I used to enjoy how when all the kids found out i was 2 years older they would start talking shit and think i was dumb. Then id raise my hand and present some information to the teacher and the class would be like holy shit this kid is good.
Nah, but they put me in special ed math in first fucking grade. Stupid if you ask me, they teach you the same shit over and over, was in it throughout my 12 years of school.
Yeah dude they had me in special ed to but it really fucked me up. In 3rd grade i was in special ed but i guess i showed potential and they decided i didn't need to be in the program so they sent me to regular classes. Everything went find and dandy until math class came around. I went from practicing my 7's times tables to fucking long division over night. I was fucked when it came to math lol
nope. too smart for that shit. the only time i ever did do anything in school was my jr year & sr year when i had to go to summer school & night school.
I was in th fifth grade!!! My mom thought my FCAT score in math was too low so she wrote a letter demanding them to hold me back a grade.
Nah never, but they wanted to hold me back my SENIOR year because I didn't complete gym..I had every other credit I needed PLUS some, but because I didn't complete gym I couldn't graduate. So I dropped out. Went to adult ed, took a placement test and was told there was literally nothing the classes there could even teach me, so I went straight to the real tests and passed all of them with flying colors, scoring in the 98th/99th percentile on all of the tests. Month later I got a thing in the mail containing my High School Diploma with Honors.
I was held back in 8th grade for saying fuck summer school, which i regretted of course as soon as all my buddies went on to high school and i was stuck with the 7th graders
no i never got held back. in high school i did just enough to get by. why was i going to waste my time doing a bunch of bullshit when i knew i would get good grades on the test anyhow.
My pre school teachers recommended to my mom that I take another year because I had trouble with my ABC's (They never taught us the alphabet, we learned "A", "B" and the hardest.... "C" haha) My mom recommended that they switch jobs to something less complicated then basic child care. Like being a cashier at a department store, or a worker at Burger King. That place was a wreck. I fell one day off the jungle gym and got knocked out for a couple minutes. Only kids were around. No suprevision at all. The workers at the preschool were probably off getting high because it was like five minutes until a kid got them and said something. My mom wasn't upset but other parents were freaking out at the teachers when they heard that story from their kids when they got picked up. Nursery/Primary degrees are for lazy alcoholics and the old who can't teach highschool level anymore.
