just curious if it would work To remove the built in digi ballast and Mount it externally somehow ultimately dismantle and reshape the cheap ass metal hood in order to get another 10 to 12 inches of height and my plans? pretty simple set up I think. it’s an older Digital fusion 600 W 6” double ended air cooled winged reflector. so it wouldn’t break my heart if I fucked it up. if anybody’s ever tried it let me know the deets
Back in the day I bought two HPS lights, like security lights. I tore them apart and built a container for the ballast and made my own reflector. This way the ballast was located outside the grow. I imagine you could do the same with a digital. Of course this was before grow lights were as cheap as they are now and I did it to save money. And not to have a grow light shipped to my house. Those were paranoid days! lol
