Anybody else live in an OOOoooold building?

    I think the pipes in my building are fucking old and contaminating my water. Anybody else have this experience? My plants are growing sssssslllllooooowwww. They're about 2 weeks old and 2 inches tall, but they have a lot of leaves, they're just not growing up. Now the biggest leaves are starting to get a tinge of yellow.

    The situation:

    2 troublemakers in 10 inch pots.

    Autopot system. 50% Fox Farm Ocean Forest, 50% perlite.

    250w MH bulb

    Temp: 77-84 degrees Humidity: varies

    pH: About 6.0. Was high, but fixed it.

    Anybody have ideas? Oh yeah, and when I planted them I kept them in coconut husk pots, could this be a problem? I'm trying to figure it out but so far no luck, they just won't grow.:(

    are your leaves hanging? It can sound like overwatering. How big was your root system when you started up the autopot system? I ask because to much water without a good developed root system tends to end up in soggy soil, overwatering, lockouts etc. I have been looking into the auto pots lately, thinking of upgrading my handwatered 20 plant soil system. With 10 inch pots they can hold alot more water then your 2" plants can drink.

    About your bad pipes I KNOW WHAT YOU MEEN! For 2 years I couldnt get a plant to grow, they died as soon as they had a sip of my water. Going for a last try before retiring I added hydrogen peroxide to my water ( and thereby desinfecting it). It seemed to work and still is, see my grow under sick plants. Im pretty sure my problems this time is not a water prob. Too much nutes i guess.

    If I was you then I would buy me a beer. :) Because maybe also you my friend can try out h2o2 and water from the top until roots are developed enough for using the system.

    I not sure if this will help or not, but it cant really hurt to give it a shot. h2o2 is harmless when used correctly but read up on it. gutes glück:)
