Here's some of them I've held on to over the years. Got bored and stoned yesterday so I decided to take a picture haha
I keep all mine in a big box in the top of my closet...along with all the beads and collectible beer cups and stuff I got at the venues. Mostly concerts. Considering I'm in my early 40's, I got alot...lol You got alot, too! I see you're a Tiger's fan...sad to see the old Stadium go. Have you been to Comerica yet?
Unfortunately I have not. I moved to Charlotte a couple years before they opened it and haven't really been up to Michigan much in the summer since I moved. My dad and I are planning on going on another road trip to some stadiums and are gonna make sure we make it out to Comerica for a game or two.
I keep the stubs from concerts. I've never seen any sort of notable or oustanding sporting event so I never really thought about keeping the stubs. Whenever I go to a concert I try a poster so I can frame the poster with the ticket. The only poster I don't have is from Roger Waters' 2007 Dark Side Of the Moon tour because the posters were all numbered and signed and shit. Fuck that, they cost too much. Anyway, that's a sick collection of tickets.
I store movie stubs , game, water park , plane ticket etc.. I like to have lil memories of what I did and went too, when I look back on it.
i keep just about everything, i have boxes and boxes of reciepts that ive never looked at and never will, but at least i have them... ticket stubs too, from concerts, movies, etc. ive got every citation i was ever written, every note that was ever written to me in high school, and i even keep little post its and scraps of paper from work that have memos or notes written on them. i keep everything. ok?
Now that I look at mine, I'm missing a few such as Godsmack, Robin Williams, and a couple raves. The blue wrist band was from my first concert which was NiN back when I was 16. It was a surprise event by the local rock station and tickets weren't sold through ticketmaster. You had to haul ass down to the venue to get a generic blue coupon ticket stub like you get at fairs. Unfortunately, it was in a cd case that was stolen from my car so I lost the actual stub. This was by far the best concert I have been to but I'm sure a lot of that was not only the tiny venue but the fact that it was our first concert and we were kids in a sea of adults. Plus the fact that during Closer, they had two completely naked women going at behind him on the stage. We were completely floored at this point lol I know some people don't like Creed but this concert was when they first were making it big. Since they are from Orlando, they played at the now extinct Hard Rock Cafe. My friend won tickets and it was a very small venue of maybe 500 people crammed into this tiny place. After the concert, we chatted with Scott's mom for quite a bit. She was this old fashioned southern woman that was very nice. She went on to say that the only reason they were doing this was so that they could afford to go to law school which obviously didn't pan out lol. All the guys were really cool to talk to though.
