Anybody else have trouble eating without weed?

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by tubro, Mar 22, 2010.

  1. I have been smoking for a little over a year now, but just recently started smoking more than just weekends. Not daily tho. I stay high pretty much all weekend and smoke maybe 2 times during the week in the evening.

My problem is that lately I have not had a healthy appetite at all unless I'm high. I literally have to force myself to eat sometimes, because I know I need to but just don't feel like it. Sometimes I will spark it up just to feel like I can enjoy my meal.

I think that it is probably the weed that is causing it, because it's always worse in the beginning of the week when I'm coming off my heaviest use time (which is the weekends). Then usually by like Wednesday or Thursday, I start to get a little natural apatite back. Is this kind of thing normal with heavier smokers? I never had apatite problems just toking lightly on the weekends.

  2. Considering you never had problems with it before, I'd say yeah, weed is the culprit. :p

I get the same way when I don't smoke for a while, but I'm a daily toker. ;)

Anyway, if you didn't have any problems with it while only lightly toking on the weekends, maybe try going back to that. :smoke:

  3. Without a bit more information its hard to tell what the true problem is. Another thing it could be is stress. Do you ever feel really stressed out and overwhelmed at the beginning of the week, and as the week progresses end up more relaxed as you know you'll finally get some time to relax? Just a thought, my first inclination is to think it is likely not because of smoking.

  4. Do a nice workout and I guarantee you'll be hungry.

  5. it's the weed. i smoke daily and when i don't have weed i end up skipping meals and such b/c i'm just not hungry. it changes your hunger cycles.

  6. for sure its the weed man, I have the same problem and I have been smoking for years I just dont get the appetite as I would when im high.. its because your body is use to getting food when its high its just one of those things

  7. Yeah it's probably the weed, but you make it sound like it's a huge problem or something. Blaze up and eat! problem solved mon'

  8. theres no way u dont feel like eating cus of weed u all sound ridiculous im a veryheavy smoker and ive never had eating issues when i was without herb

  9. Good replies. Thanks guys.

I'm inclined to believe that it is the weed, but didn't think i was smoking enough to really cause it which is why I asked. I think I'll cut it back a little to see if I start getting hungry without the munchies. If so then I will know the cause.

If it is the weed, I'm not too worried about it. Just wanted to know mainly out of curiosity.

  10. if u dont really smoke that much it cant be it. its just all in your mind

  11. Yes you can lose your appetite a bit from not smoking weed.

    Example..
I smoked roughly everyday for about 4 months. Just once a night or in the day and at night somtimes. I stopped for 4 days (this is about 3 weeks ago).. because I couldnt get bud... And I didnt want to eat shit. Nothing in the kitchen appealed to me. I could not make up my mind on what to eat. Everything looked like it would make me sick. And when I did eat, I would just stop because I had no influence to eat. It was weird to say the least. Im sure it was the marijuana stoppage that caused this appetite problem.

  12. i smoke multiple times a day and yes, i have the same problem. if i dont smoke right before i eat, i dont get hungry and cant even finish half of what im eating.

  13. excellent advice. i have noticed a moderately decreased appetite due to my daily smoking. It is not as bad as yours where I sometime will feel the need to smoke just to enjoy a meal, but if i am taking a t break, i can go long periods of time without even noticing that I have not ate.

working out is one thing that i have tried and it most certainly works, get hungry as hell after a nice workout :hello::smoke:

  14. It might just be in your head. I sometimes have a similar problem, but it's definately in my head. It's just eating isn't as fun, nor does it taste as good, when i'm not high, so I don't eat that much when i'm sober.

  15. Not to mention you're getting healthy and fit. Two birds One stone imo. Or two birds both stoned... idk.

  16. Oh, okay.

Guys, it doesn't happen to SmokethatDro, so I guess all the rest of us are wrong. :(

  17. Yeah, I was arrested a few weeks ago and stopped smoking a few days after so I could pass the drug test if I get one. I could barely eat anything for the first 3 or 4 days after a week or so I was back to normal. Before that I was smoking weed constantly all the time so I'm not too surprised.

  18. ahaha yeahh man its thaa ganja. i cant remember the last day i didnt smoke but its been at least 6 months everyday and usually i'll forget to eat or just not even be hungry all day and then realize at 2 am that i should finally eat something. but yeah its a sticky routine my appetite has grown to haha. lately i've started to try to make myself eat like a waffle in the afternoon when i wake up and then ill consume a hearty munchy meal around 10pm with the fry daddy mmmm lol

  19. I only eat when I'm high. It's not really a problem because I smoke every day, but if I were to take a few days off as a t-break, I doubt I'd eat anything for those few days. I don't think it's anything to do with the herb, I just don't eat much ever unless I'm baked.

  20. I have this problem but it is due to my anti depressents. The side effects make me have no appetite for literally 7+ hours. One of the main reasons I smoke in the morning is so I can enjoy a meal and get me some energy for the day. One of the MANY reasons cannabis is my #1 medicine.
