Any tips to lower temp ?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by loudnoise8, Jun 24, 2020.

  1. I have been trying to do every little thing to lower the temp, it won’t go down from the 80s. Any tips ?

  2. A fast enough exhaust fan speed can make conditions inside the tent roughly the same as conditions outside the tent.
An ultrasonic humidifier blowing fog into the tent from outside the tent can lower temps a few degrees F.
An added benefit is that your plants will thank you for the higher humidity with better growth.

  5. well the filter would go on the inside of the tent. the fan goes on the outside.

so it would pull air through the filter and exhuasting it out of the tent the same way it is now

  6. is that a 4inch fan your using with a 6inch carbon filter and 6inch ducting???

  8. your vent looks huge, like an 8 or 6 inch.
and the filter looks huge. like a 6"

your fan looks like a 4"
and it looks like its all duct taped togetehr to try to seal it up.

i'd make sure your filter is the proper size its supposed to be for the fan your using.

  9. Everything is 4 inch I just checked. It looked bulky where it’s taped up because I tried using the clamps and it wasn’t rlly working and that is what is making it bulk so that’s why I taped it up

  10. You might want to open the passive air inlets at the bottom. Granted they look like they don't have much room, you might want to pull those covers off. Up against the wall like that shouldn't let any light in.

  11. A portable AC vented out of the grow space. I went thru this all summer last year and still grew decent smoke but it was compromised. Went and picked up a 12k btu AC and put inside of my 4×8 flower tent. Had it on the outside with tent doors open and it couldn't maintain temps. Cold air exhaust from flower tent is piped over to veg tent and veg piped out to roof. Able to maintain 79° when it's 105° outside. I'm in a garage btw running the same Mars sp250 and a few other brands too.

  12. A "cool mist" or ultrasonic humidifier is your best bet...an AC unit going to significantly lower your humidity...or check out "swamp coolers"...they bring temperature down and humidity up fairly well
