Any techniques on preparing for mother clone cuttings?

    I have 2 mother clones that I plan to take cuttings from as soon as they are ready. They are both about 2 weeks old and around 8" tall. I know that if I put them into 12/12 they will grow fast but they will also be harder to root the cuttings. If I put them on 12/12 for a week or so just to get the right size for cuttings then back to 18/6 will it cause problems?

    I would say wait til the plant is at least a month and a half old before taking clones.

    Forgive me if you already know, but 12/12 is the flowering light schedule. If you put mother plants into 12/12, they'll very likely start producing flowers.

    Yes I am aware of this, I guess I am just impatient and want to start my clones asap. I suggested 12/12 because of the fast growing that occurs during this stage, but I will just wait it out in veg. Thanks

    The hardest part in growing is having patients. Just wait. It sucks but has to be done.
