Any strat fans should check this one out (especially if you're buying one sometime);

  1. It's close, but they've done better versions of the Woodstock Strat. Here's one on eBay. The one you linked to only has a reverse neck and reverse bridge pickup. The body's still right-side up. And the headstock decal is incorrect for a '69 model, that logo was used mainly from '65 to '68. Yeah, I'm a Strat nerd...what!?

    But that Strat definitely is pretty cool, and the price is right.

  2. Dude.

    The whole body thing?

    I'm stonded.

    Officially.

  3. Yeah and from what I see, its a Mexican Strat. I always try to find American made Fenders, theyre usually better quality and the attention to detail is immaculate.

    Biatch.

  4. actually, old strats that were mexi were pretty good quality. the newer ones suck balls.

  5. I've never had a single problem with any Mexi strat, and yeah it is mexican.

    Ever.

    In fact, I've been totally happy, and then had some money left over for a sack, or some new pickups, which is all they usually need.

    I hardly EVER want the stock pick ups on a guitar anyway. Wether they're vintage noiseless or those crappy stock ones they put on the standard mexi strats, the odds are I'd put seymour duncans in it or something.

    I was going to get the 70's series strat for the same amount of money, but why not get something a little more unique?

  6. The Mexican ones have come a long way. They upgraded the tremolo block, upgraded the tuners and shielded the body cavities to reduce the 60 cycle hum. You're gonna find stinkers at every quality level, it's all about finding one that works for you. With a good set-up, maybe some upgraded pickups, you'll have a nasty guitar in no time.
