Floyd is godly. Personally I prefer the David Gilmour version (Dark Side, The Wall, Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Animals)
David Gilmour/Roger Waters are unimaginative dinguses compared to Syd Barrett. It's just fact. They essentially just kept pushing out extensions of his work after he was gone. That's like saying The Doors post Jim Morrison were a good band. Not that I don't enjoy Meddle, DSotM, and many of their 70's albums, the live recordings on Umma Gumma, etc. They were still good, just riding on a wave of Syd Barrett's genius. Plus, Waters is super stuck up. I can't stand interviews with him. Plus, David Gilmour? Have you heard their post Waters works? Ewwwwwww.....
it is just your opnion but lmfao do I ever think you are off. Syd Barret is a fucking idiot who pissed away his mind, despite those around him & the opportunity. Pink Floyd probably wouldn't nearly as good If sid sobered up and tried being creative. Rodgers waters is very good lyrically and very creative, David Gilmour, Kieth Wright & Nick Mason are all fantastic musicians with their instruments. All have great talent and skill, Sid was just a junky. Hands down Dark Side of the Moon through to The Final Cut are all fantastic albums. Before that, less Meddle, is a little too psychedelic for me....
