Just wondering if there are many other geocachers on here, or is it mainly muggles? If you are a Geocacher, how many have you found? I'm at about 150. Also what was the coolest one you found? Mine was under water and you had to snorkel for it! If you are unfamiliar with geocaching, I encourage you to check it out! So fun and a great way to get out in nature. "What the heck is geocaching" you might ask? Well let me tell you... Geocaching is basically a world wide treasure hunt using GPS coordinates. There is over 1,000,000 caches worldwide. You can trade items within the 'cache,' but a lot of people find them just to sign the logbook. If you do a search in your area, I bet you would be surprised how many there are close to your home. geocaching.com Also if you have an iPhone, there is a geocaching app ($9.99) that has everything you need to get started with caching. You don't need to go out and buy a GPS. Anyway, I encourage you to check it out. It may just become one of your favorite pastimes. Plus it's very exciting finding a treasure when you're high!
So its like hide and.seek for adults?
Yeah totally! It's so much fun! If you go to the website, there is a quick video that explains better how it works. The thing I like most about it is it brings me places I would otherwise never see. It has brought me to some very cool locations that I had no idea were even there.
Id find one that was REALLLLLYYY hard to get to and leave an Oz it plus a little note on how you applaud the finder for finding it. Then put it back.
This is something I've been considering. Seems like a lot of fun. And, as I like hiking, it throws a little extra purpose to it.
I'd love to leave weed in the next cache I find, but caching is often done as a family event... Haha. I'm pretty sure it would be frowned upon. Sign logbook: "great hide! TFTC Took keychain, left nug..." hahaha on another note, my parents are going back home tomorrow, so I think I'm going to get totally blasted and go caching. Can't wait! It will be 6 says of not toking tomorrow!

i found one that was in the park behind my house. however i didn't have any kind of gps then so i couldn't really get into it. but now my phone has gps so maybe ill try looking for some more, there are plenty right around here.
In the way writing is just moving your arm with a fancy name. Sounds rad as fuck man, looking it up for sure.
OK I checked it out I live in the middle of the high desert in the middle of nowhere and there are 75 caches within 10 miles of me, thats crazy.
when I checked the site out, I was sure there wouldn't be anything within 50 miles of me, I'm going to go check one out next weekend with my daughter should be fun...thanks for the info.... I'm thinking quads not really a walking type dude LOL
Actually fuck it, theres one down the street and I got some sweet foreign currency to leave in the box. This is the clue for the lock though. I'm assuming its just a 4 digit lock VVVIIVVIVVV Any ideas?
it has a lock? never heard of something like that. must be for more advanced cachers i guess. Anyway, i would assume that's roman numerals but i don't really know what's up with putting a bunch of V's in a row since ten is X.
i found one one time by complete accident. me and my buddy were just out in the woods adventuring, and we came across a little tub. we thought it was a stash box, but it turned out to be a little geo-capsule. good times.

I encourage all of you to get into this, but just remember to use stealth if caching in the city. That is very important. If you blatantly pull out a box from its hiding place, and people see you doing this, it's likely they will pull it out after you leave, and sometimes they get stolen . And that's no fun for anybody. Anyway, just a heads up, look out for 'muggles' (non-geocachers) if you are urban caching. One more thing, it's very important to always put the cache back exactly as you found it.
