Any of you guys used to be against weed?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by DreamPCs, Nov 24, 2011.

  1. So have any of you guys ever been against weed? If so, what changed your mind and why we're you against it to begin with?

For me, I was never against weed as my entire family has smoked at some point including my parents. I just never had an interest in trying it until a chance presented itself through a good friend of mine. He smoked high grade daily and he was high almost all day every day. He was cool I didn't mind being with him when he smoked but he never pressured me or anything. Anyway, I tried it and was instantly in love. So yeah lol anyway how about you guys?

  2. I was never truly against it, I just didn't wanna try it when I was younger. I remember my friend started smoking at the beginning of high school and I thought it was a bad idea then.
It's cool though cause I started smoking weed later in high school and we became better friend.

    :smoke:

  3. yep. when i was 14 and under i was heavily against drug use or getting drunk. i was an elitist who thought i was better than everyone who did drugs or drank underage. i remember walking into the highschool lunch room and thinking to myself "atleast 3 people in this room (there were 300+ kids in the room lol) have smoked weed or drank underage. im better than them."

2nd semester freshman year i had to take a health class on alcohol, drugs, nutrition, etc etc,. I remember we each did projects on different drugs, and one group did magic mushrooms. i remember they said they were natural, produced psychedelic effects, and said there was no evidence for any brain damage. the kid next to me goes "i hear mushrooms take you to la la land; who would want to do that?" i replied "yea i know right" but in my mind im thinking "no damage? who WOULDNT want to do that?!" and yea thanks to that class i became more interested in drugs. i started researching on my own and decided that weed wasnt really a big deal.

and ever since then ive been heavily researching drugs online. now that im older ive matured and dont look down on anyone who chooses to do drugs, smoke cigs, or drink. i see everyone as equal.

  4. I was never against it, I just thought it was a stupid thing to do, until I learned of all the medical benefits.

  5. I used to so hardcore about no smoking pot. Then I really started looking into, watched documentaries and everything, and within a week, I bought an ounce and a bong, never looked back since. Weed is so much better than drinking. I smoke pot almost everyday, and I just enjoy it. I smoke with my friends and girlfriend, and who ever just wants to chill and have a bowl. People say Im really nice, cause I share alot of weed hahaha.

Why'd you start looking onto it all of a sudden? What happened to make you want to do homework on it? Oh and kudos to you man my friend was like that and we're incredibly close.

  8. Okay so i started smoking weed in the eighth grade (young I know) and i was never against it. Like in sixth grade I had been tricked into smoking leaves from outside. They rolled the leaves and told me it was weed and i smoked it so essentailly i would have smoked weed in the sixth grade. I thought that if you did it a ton it might be bad for you but i never really knew. Im baked this prob made no sense.

  9. i used to be against all drugs, but when i was like 12 my older brother told me that pretty much our whole family smokes pot, so i got interested stated doing research, found out it wasnt some horrible addictive thing and so i started smoking about a year later and havent looked back since.

Glad you asked! My girlfriend of three years told me she smoked pot, and wanted to smoke with me so I said maybe, and looked into it. Thanks man, yeah hahaha Ive gotten alot closer to a lot of people, Im just a nicer person now. I think its made me a greater person.

  11. well i think its really just maturing, and getting out of the elitist state of mind. i didnt even smoke weed until senior year. sophmore/junior year i was very interested in drugs and would have loved to try weed among other things but was just too pussy to ask anyone for weed (sad, i know).

  12. Was kinda against it when I was alot younger due to propaganda, by my parents (who have smoked themselves, but who wants their 13 year old son smoking [18 now].) and the government. Then about 6 months ago I became more interested in Ganja, watched "The Union", learned the truth and have been happy ever since :smokin:

  13. i used to be against alot of drugs but pot isn't one of them my mom used to do allot of drugs when i was a kid (she stil does:eek:) i hated allot of shit she did but weed was was not one of them i smoked it for the first time when i was about 8 or 7 years old with my mom (shes not gonna win parent of the year but i love her any way)

  14. I was never really against it, just scared of it due to the bullshit I learned in public school and TV.

  15. I'm an old dude from the 60's who used to smoke, well, a lot of pot.

    Had Kids

Didn't want kids to go to jail...

Told them the truth, pot is fine, the law sucks, be smart, is smoking worth prison?

Law where we live is better now, and we all smoke pot, so...

Yes, I was against it when the penalty for use was so high. Now, the remaining risk is worth indulging in this most wonderful herb.

  16. I was never against it, I was just seriously misinformed. I truly believed it was just as dangerious as any other unmentionable, was addictive, killed brain cells, caused cancer, made you stupid/fail at life, etc, simply because that's what I was taught before high school. I didn't think it was a smart thing to do up until my junior year when I first tried it. After that I did some research and realized that it isn't anywhere near as bad as people made it out to be, and actually has several medical benefits.

  17. I knew I was gonna smoke weed when I was in 4th grade, smoked for the first time 4 years later. I was always open minded :smoke:

  18. Didn't really know anything about it and had no opinion, and thought why not try when I was with a friend cause it's easier to find than alcohol

  19. Yes, yes I was.

  20. nope. started at 13 and had been interested pretty much since i learned about it.
